Quaint cabin

Reviewed By tgoldrush

It can't get any better as far as location to Turkey Run State Park. Cabin was clean and had everything you needed (cabin C). 2 complaints: 1. TV wasn't connected to satellite/local channels so be prepared to bring dvds or rent. There is a Redbox in Rockville. 2. No living room area. I knew it was a small cabin but not that small. It is a working farm so keep that in mind.

Mary Rose Herb Farm and Retreat

fun first time yurting experience

Reviewed By gazooby

The Herb Farm is no more, but the owner Dick continues to rent out several yurts. Of the two on the hillside each has a full-sized bed with a soft mattress and plenty of furniture, books, games. The yurts have heat pumps, microwave, water dispenser, with a clean porto-potty just outside. Ours was a tad musty smelling but the yurts were cozy and warm inside (we arrived in a pouring rain). The hot tub does not appear to be functioning. Fun listening to the cows by day and coyotes by night. A hot breakfast was hand delivered by golf cart and was very good. The location is on a quiet county road just ten minutes from the St. Meinrad Archabbey and 25 minutes from Tell City.

Salt Creek Farm

Fantastic Brown County/ Nashville, IN rental

Reviewed By kcaskey

We recently rented this lovely farm house on 50 acres in Brown County; withing a few miles of Nashville, IN, and absolutely loved it! On the property are old barns, chicken coops etc that were fun to walk around and take pictures of, there are walking trials,a fishing hole, a wrap around porch with ceiling fan, swing and rocking chair. Just heavenly. The house has been updated and has everything you need for a vacation and is cute and cozy. The owner made the rental easy and communicated very well with instructions on how to get the key, where things where etc... We will absolutely be visiting here again. The price , the location, and oh yea...the stars at night are outstanding!!! I have already told at least a dozen people about this place, wish it was mine :)

Serenity!

We stayed on the off season and midweek so we had a lot of seclusion. Hiking was fantastic. Staff very professional and friendly. Would like to visit again but the venue may be changing toward a business/retreat center.
