El Pulgarcito

I dined with a young lady whose family came from Honduras. She guided me through the ordering process and menu choices. I elected to focus on the "Pupusas", which are their specialty. I just ordered one to try, but reordered immediately. I thought it was a lot like a thick and puffy fried corn pancake with fillings. I liked the hot sauce and cold slaw type garnish they served with it. My young friend had a combination plate that included rice and beans in addition to "Pupusas". She said her family were regulars at this location for years. I did not even know it existed until I checked out local eateries online. Three locations in our area. Try one!

Decided to try this Puerto Rican restaurant on the opposite side of town. Very small place, off the beaten path in between the military bases. Were we surprised. Food was great, service wasn't bad, friendly establishment. Pictured is their tortilla soup, Mofongo with bistec encebollado, and coconut milk custard. It's a hole in the wall but definitely delivered. As authentic as when we were in PR. It's worth the drive. Much, much better than the restaurant in Redmond. This is now our go to. Thanks OSJ!

Most branches of Taqueria El Antojoost are more casual, fast food type spots; this one is sit down with a full bar and it's a nice, inexpensive place for a family meal.I love the fresh tortillas they make here. The Chile Rellenos are very good here as well. They don't always grill their mulitas, so I still prefer El Sabor for that. Solid Lengua and Tripa here. The prices are a little more than other branches of Antojo, probably for the added ambiance, but it's still better than the local El Toro or most other sit down Mexican spots.

Awesome little spot for some real authentic Mexican food. Stopped with my brother and had tacos, rice, and beans. The tongue , carnita, and marinnated pork was great. Rice was alittle plain but service and price was great. I Will come back again and again.
