Very nice visit, but no stars due to weather
Reviewed By jessicapuiOur group of 3 were the only ones staying that night We had the evening tour with the resident Astronomist, who was very nice, very good at english, and his enthusiasm showed in his tour. The tour ward completely in english, i guess it was because all 3 of us are foreigners. The onsen ( stone hot spring) was nice but quite small, maximum 2-3 people at a time, and requires booking if there were more guests. But since it was just us 3 we could use it freely Unfortunately it was super cloudy on the night we visited, and so we were able to see much with the telescope. However the resident astronomist showed us a lot of interesting things in the planetarium and the amazing photos that he took of the night sky Food is pretty good. Staff were really helpful arranging for our transport ( we didnt drive)

Angelica is in Kumamoto which is very famous for volcanic area. There is Mt Aso that has world biggest its crater. Also Mt Aso is now active volcano. Our place is in surrounded by Mt Aso's crater.
Dinner was grrat, and hospitality was confortable.
Reviewed By motherblack0502夫婦2人で8月に訪問させていただきました。 まず、食事が素晴らしかったです。地元阿蘇の食材にこだわり、かなりの種類の野菜やハーブが自家栽培です。また、燻製も自家製。オーナーは福岡のレストランで修行されていた方らしく、技術は確かです。こんない山奥で阿蘇を感じる素敵なディナーをいただけると思いませんでした。 さらに、近くに天文台があり、夏のシーズンは星空観察も楽しめます。天気が良ければ天の川も見られます。このプログラムは予約をされることをお勧めします。 震災で訪れる方は減ったそうですが、ぜひ頑張って欲しい宿です。 My hasband and I visited there in August 2017. The dinner and breakfirst were great. They use vesetables from Aso as much as possible, and grow up some kinds of vegetables or herbs by themselves. In addition, they make some smokes by themselves! The shef has a good technique, who was traind at the restaurant in Fukuoka. I have never imagined that I could enjoy such tasty meals in a mountain area. There is an observatory near the hotel, and you can enjoy night sky watching in summer season. If it is not cloudy, you can see the milky way. I reccomend to book if you would like to take part in this program. It seems that the number of visitors decreased, however, I hope more travelers stay in this hotel.

カブトムシを捕りに連れて行ってもらえました
Reviewed By はな923夏休みに子連れで宿泊しました。夜に子供たちをつれて、車でカブトムシを捕りに連れて行ってくれました。東京ではできない体験ができ、子供たちもとてもよろこんでいました。カブトムシ４匹、クワガタ３匹を東京に連れて帰れました。
