Top 5 Japanese food in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, United States

Find out what Japanese restaurants to try in Isle of Palms. Bordered by pristine beaches and a network of marsh creeks, the barrier island of Isle of Palms has been a vacation spot since the late 19th century when it was only accessible by ferry. In 1929, a bridge was built, which opened up the island to more than just local residents. Today, it’s the island’s great fishing, beaches and golf that provide a few of the magnets for visitors. With a laid-back, easy going, resort lifestyle, the most popular fashion statement is flip-flops and a t-shirt. Isle of Palms is a great place to gear down from a hectic lifestyle. The magnificent stretch of beach on Isle of Palms is both photogenic and fun. Once you’ve done your obligatory sunbathing and beachcombing at the Isle of Palms County Park Beach, head to nearby Charleston, a 30-minute drive away, which has historic sites, landmarks, shopping districts, golf courses and family attractions like The South Carolina Aquarium and Fountain Walk, a new dining, entertainment and shopping complex nearby. For golfers, the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms features two 18-hole courses designed by Tom Fazio and there are several more excellent layouts on the mainland, including Patriots Point and Charleston National Country Club.

Its difficult to find this restaurant, but worth the effort. We normally get a take-away from this restaurant, but decided to eat in on our last visit. The food is simply delicious - using fresh, tasty ingredients. The wine (on the night we visited (Wednesday) was half price and the staff are friendly and efficient. Wonderful little spot.

His place is located on the outside of Town Center in a strip mall next to a large grocery store. The inside of the restaurant was quite nice. There was a full bar and plenty of seating. The service was very good and the server knew his menu and had excellent recommendations. We went with a mix of things: Sushi, Hibachi Chicken, and General Tso's. Will all of these items, care was taken on the presentation - all of them almost too pretty to eat. The meals were prepared expertly, and were served fresh, and in the case of the cooked meals - piping hot. The sauces used on the hot meals was outstanding. Not too spicy or sweet. The portion size was ample, with some of our party opting to box part of their meals and no one interested in dessert. Dinner was reasonable for this area with most of the entries running about 15-18$. This was a good experience and we definitely recommend.

I stopped here for Lunch. I thought it was very reasonable. I had Kung Pao chicken, Miso soup, and salad with a creamy ginger dressing. My server was very friendly, and efficient. It hit the spot; a light and tasty meal. The sauce was not greasy, and I was content with my overall first experience. Hope to try out other dishes when I am in thearea.

I tried this restaurant tonight based on them saying that they have both Hibaci and Sushi, which is only "kinda correct".They do have Sushi, and even though I only ordered Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, i will say that they were fresh, with nice flvaor, BUT VERY SMALL.As for the Hibachi, it is not traditional Hibachi where you get the experience. It is a very limited Hibachi Menu, only 4 options, and it is cooked in the back and then brought out to you. The steak was ok, but the viggies were nasty. They seemed to have been pre cooked (OVER COOKED) and reheated for your order.Lastly, the Miso Soup was NASTY! Seems impossible to mess up Miso soup, i know. That said, they MANAGED to screw it up!Lastly, my waiter Jeff, no personality and only ok service.Go somewhere else.
