Reviewed By JerseystephenLast night we unexpectedly ended up having a night at this delightful resort. Our return boat on a day trip from Jersey was cancelled and with the area being so busy due to Bastille Day all hotels were full. It was very difficult for the staff to be faced with a very disgruntled bunch of people through no fault of there own, but did their best to make sure everyone was well looked after with understanding and a smile. We even got to watch an amazing sunset with Jersey in the background from the beach on the edge of the resort. Ideal for families and spotless. Thanks again Stephen and Cathy Clipp

You can take your dinner in our restaurant where you will find a family Menu "à la carte" La Comte puts the best of Port-Bail at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.

Reviewed By cazbarrWe have just got back from a week at La Comte in Portbail, and we are really sad about it. I could have stayed forever! The house is beautiful, with a wonderfully homey feel. Very spacious with a huge garden, which we spent a lot of time in. There are a variety of different fruit trees/bushes which we were told to help ourselves too. We made great use of the bbq area, which was big enough to cater for our 8! Janette is so helpful, friendly and approachable. She is full of information about the house and the area too. We were made to feel so welcome, especially by our 'holiday dog' Lucky! The house is only a short distance from Portbail and the beach. My brother in law and his girlfriend rode to the beach on the tandem a couple of times! A wonderful house run by wonderful people in a stunning setting! What more could anyone want? Definitely hope to return one day :)

Reviewed By StreetsieWe booked for 7.30 for last evening, waited 45 before getting a drink, they took 15 minutes to arrive, so when they did we decided to order then, an hour later our first course arrived, the waitress had forgotten to give our order into the kitchen, the main course was also slow in arriving probably another 30 mins after our first course plates were removed. We found one waitress in particular to be very unhelpful she never smiled or even made eye contact. We have visited a few times and the service never improves
