Reviewed By Tony PStayed for 1 night with my wife. Lydie was away so our host was Pascal (and Bird, the dog) a really charming place to stay, beautiful building, great room,decor and garden. Lovely breakfast. Pascal clearly proud of the place and deservedly so. Hope to be back sometime and perhaps meet Lydie who was a delight to deal with when booking.

Still a lovely place to stay and eat
Reviewed By RichardOxfordshireAfter 3 years we returned for a second stay at this lovely hotel. A very warm and friendly welcome, with a clean and comfortable room. The best is the restaurant which is atmospheric and with excellent food and service. Make sure to book in advance. We can also highly recommend to taste and purchase excellent wines from the nearby Domaine des Roy who supply the restaurant.

Our charming 19th century barn, meticulously restored is located in the heart of the historic village of Pontlevoy which is situated in the middle of the Chateaux de la Loire. Special care and attention to detail is reflected in the interior design and decoration. Our guest rooms are themed in different decorative styles where you find an eclectic blend of artwork, both contemporary and antique. We also have a self catering apartment of 2 bedrooms and a gite of 3 bedrooms, all situated in the same building.

Reviewed By Fazilan2021Stopping for a short break in Loire valley we stayed at this very well designed B&B. We enjoyed a 2 night stop with David and Patricia. We loved the room we had and the little terrace space to sit out and enjoy a cuppa. Pontlevoy is a small place and David booked us a restaurant for dinner in neighbouring Montrichard. Breakfast was a treat served up with freshly baked most delicious croissants and coure de beouf tomatoes by Patricia! David was an exemplary host and made us so comfortable even helping us with our Covid test upload!!! We were happy to enjoy a good nights sleep with the door open and felt safe and actually did not feel the need to lock our room at all during our stay. Wishing David and Patricia greater success in their beautiful venture.

House decorated in an old, poetic and very personal style. Each room, of different nature, with shower and private toilets, without television and with access wifii in the living room. Our hosts will be able to benefit from the living room with the wood stove, to prepare the excursions as well as garden
French family stay
Reviewed By BluebellplasnewyddWell situated at the eastern end on the Loire this farmhouse is somewhat difficult to find and you will need a car. The owners speak enough English to converse but it is likely that the other guests will be French. The rooms are comfortable and we slelp well although the they are not really suitable for relaxing in during the day. Wifi signal is strong. Dinner is at 8pm and starts with canapés and aperitifs. Madame will seat everyone in front of the fire and conversation starts. A little French is useful but not essential as Madame and her husband will look after you! Dinner follows and was a duck slow cooked main with starters, cheese and sweets served with unlimited wine. The food is of simple French country type and home cooked. The whole experience was great fun although undoubtably this will vary according to the personality of the other guests. The whole family will be dining with you. Breakfast is similarly simple. This stay provides an opportunity to join in French farmhouse life but you have to accept rather cluttered surroundings.
