Reviewed By Shirley SThe Abel Hotel in Paris,France was a nice anicent hotel.It was small but it was close to lots of resturant and shopping. We even rename one of the street to " Bourdon St" like a street in New Orleans in the USA because he seems that street stayed business 24 hours. The staff was marvelous too!!!

Lovely open camp site on river
Reviewed By FordWetleyStunning location. Can pitch anywhere by side of river or more open space. Can swim from camp site beach on rubber rings. Great for kayakers. A grade 2 river trip from Prades to Camp site 15km. Or camp site to Lavoûte-Chilhac 17km (watch out for first weir, portage and second weir go to the right, easy). Can hire sit upon kayaks in most villages. Tonic Adventure in Langeac will drop you at Prades for 24E per boat and took us with our kayaks. Further up stream is a Grade 3/4, only to be done with knowledge. Great for walking into town, lovely town with a market, shops, a few bars and restaurants. 3 supermarkets within 5 mins drive. Excellent Adventure park on the other side of bridge with zip wires across river. We had a map and found a quite road all along river to cycle to Chilhac where there is a bar, museum and then onto Lavoûte-Chilhac for lunch. Last bit Chilhac very hilly. You can hire electric bikes from camp site. The area is volcanic so interesting basalt cliffs. The picture is the beach from camp site. A great active holiday for family with older kids.

Incroyable à Langeac
Reviewed By Ericdu13eVenant occasionnellement à Langeac nous avons découvert avec stupéfaction qu'un hôtel haut de gamme s'était ouvert depuis un an. Nous n'avons pas hésité et réservé, un peu sceptiques malgré tout, la suite 19. Que du bonheur: la taille de la chambre, la qualité de la décoration, le luxe de la salle de bain et un petit déjeuner bien au delà de nos attentes. Les propriétaires sont aimables au possible et aux petits soins pour leurs clients. Nous retournerons à Langeac plus souvent, juste pour le plaisir de séjourner à nouveau dans ce splendide établissement.

Haven for my sister and I
Reviewed By Sharon TAlthough we were not staying at this hotel, we did visit the restaurant there for supper after we arrived at our Maison in Chanteuges. What a delightful surprise. We had been driving all day, needed supper, drove around Langeac and everything was closed. As we drove by, we saw lights on and took a chance and stopped. The restaurant was open... Yay. Although no one spoke English, my sister and I had a smattering of French and our handy translator on the smart phone. Food was good, service was food, and we were very happy. Happy.
