It is a comfortable country retreat set within beautiful Latvian countryside where mighty Daugava and Perse rivers meet. The venue is suitable for variety of events – weddings and birthdays, business meetings, seminars and conferences. These are made more informal by the wonderful country setting of the retrea. 3 small houses for 5 persons and 2 houses with 16 rooms. Two saunas, barbeque terace.

Maza Kapa is a guest house situated in the picturesque surroundings of Koknese, only about 20 m from a river. It offers accommodation with a children’s playground and barbecuing facilities. The rooms are bright and decorated in pastel colours. Each comes with wooden floors, a TV and a private bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is offered every morning. The guests can explore the area around or relax on the terrace. The Koknese castle ruins are 1.5 km away and the Liktendarzs garden is 2 km from Maza Kapa. The train station and a bus stop are a 7-minute walk away.

Reviewed By Daiga TSo exiting, I'm the first reviewer :) Loved this place and wish I could have stayed more than one night, but had to continue my trip to Latgale in the morning. The guest house is part of arts and crafts center, so there is an arty feel to the location and rooms. Rooms have separate entrance, so one does not disturb the owners when getting in and out. There is large outside space for picnics and a little river nearby. There is free Wi-Fi, television (in some rooms), and en-suite bathrooms. Most importantly the breakfast is included. We got pancakes, homemade jam and lovely coffee.

Work shop
Reviewed By jorgenknudsenVisited the hotel for a work shop. Place was chosen because of the location close to forest and lake instead of the typical big city hotels. Food was great - made on grill. No menu card - you just choose what you like and the chef made it. Very quit area in the middle of “nowhere” Host family was very nice, friendly and indeed service minded..
