great to be back at this classic near-diner where everybody not only knows your name, but your relatives... cramped and cozy, superb short-order chefing this time produced fine veggie omelet, atoning for nutritional sins of recent past, and splendid bean-bacon soup with grilled-cheese and tomato soup... and those pies!!!... crusts flakier than the proprietor... we haven't been hear for a while and it felt like home...

Despite the unassuming exterior, my breakfast was surprisingly good, with pleasant service and reasonable prices. I had the corn beef hash with eggs which was delicious. Don't be deterred by the exterior--try this place, and I think you'll enjoy it.

My husband is on a no lactate, gluten diet and going to chain restaurants is always a challenge. When we told the waitress our problem she told us they have gluten free bread. My husband had a California Burger on this bread and he was thrilled. I had a huge fish sandwich.

AJ's is the kind of place every small town or city should have. Open early, friendly waitstaff, and easy to find. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. We went for breakfast. Two of us ordered eggs, home fries, and toast. Another member of our group got a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. We also split an order of hash. Those items plus beverages came out to less than $25. The price is a part of the reason for the rating. It's cash only but there is an ATM if you forget.

It seems that everyone has visited this diner except me. Finally had the chance to try it out with some good friends. Sat in the back room, a place I didn't know existed and that you can't see when looking at the place from the road. It is very roomy. I had to say that I had a pleasant experience. I had regular breakfast of eggs and homefries and it was good. Maybe not the best breakfast I have ever had, but really, nothing to complain about. The best part of the whole experience was an amazing young waitress who managed to take care of the whole place by herself and she never missed a beat. She was extremely pleasant without being phony or overbearing. She was quick and the coffee kept flowing. She never acted like she was rushed or as if she didn't have time for you.If you are in need of a quick and solid breakfast, or even if you want to hand out over breakfast for an hour or two with friend, Frank & Mary's will accommodate.Regina, thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your first visit to FRANK & Mary's. We hope that we can continue to serve you in the future. Thanks again, Tom Hartnett owner of Frank & Mary's.
