Average was a better grade than deserved. The order was wrong, took an hour to deliver and the taste was bland. Generally I will give a place a second chance, don't expect that will be the case this time. Just too many issues for a first visit.

Did someone complain about the spice/hot factor here? Perhaps multiple complaints? While edible, my volcano shrimp contained NO volcano aspect. The pepper flake condiment at the table - is that just a decoration? No hot, no spice, no bite, and no flavor. Tried my dateâs bbq pork dish - no bbq flavor, no bite either. Strangely flavorless. One dish, maybe, but two? Are they all like this? The fried rice was a good temperature but also flavorless. It was non-greasy, so perhaps that was a factor?The service was great, the atmosphere welcoming, and my Christmas Eve vibe was strong. Iâm not a complainer but just genuinely confused here. I can recommend the Thai ice tea easily - on a good note. I did take leftovers home, so the portions were solid, but I also curious if I could doctor the entrees for some bite, some flavor. For once I feel badly leaving a mostly negative review and simply wonder if it has something to do with area, and not the chefs themselves.

Donât bother. With the exception of the superb crab wontons (crab rangoon), the food is sub-par, even for an inexpensive place like this one. The kitchen staff put far too much energy into the fancy garnishes and far too little into the food. For example, chicken dishes (e.g., orange chicken, sesame chicken) were overcooked â dry and tough â with forgettable sauces. Portion sizes were good. Service was adequate (not great). Food was inexpensive, but still not worth it. There arenât a lot of great Chinese restaurants in the Springs, but you can do far better than Chinese Menu with just a short drive â and the extra few minutes will be well worth it.

Tristan really made the evening a pleasant experience. He is on his A-game for what is important to diners looking for great service, a great meal, and a friendly atmosphere. First, he gave us an overview of the menu. In our case, the four of us already knew what we wanted. In my case, the Moo-Shu pork is always my favorite. The oriental pancakes are served in a warming dish and are always very fresh and are really the highlight of the entree. All of the entrees are fabulous and very generous servings. You will go home with food for another meal. Tristan worked our table throughout the evening making sure that our tea was hot and fresh, and that everything met our satisfaction. We always have a fabulous evening at Shangri-La, our favorite oriental restaurant in Colorado Springs. Give Shangri-La a try and get one of Tristan's tables.

Meh, not to bad. This is a very small place that is very clean and the service was excellent. The food was ok. Our family had Egg Drop Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Wanton Soup, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Curry Chicken and Orange Chicken. I have to say that the Orange Chicken was the best.
