This is family-run tiny Chinese restaurant; the décor is unsophisticated ,even homey. While not up to the standards of the best restaurants in Chinatown, the food is fresh, the dumplings (their specialty) homemade (unlike most other restaurants that just reheat the frozen ones). The staff are very friendly and endearing.

Returning home to Connecticut from the Providence Airport we stopped here as we really enjoyed the food and prices on our last visit when my son lived here. They didn't disappoint. The service was very good. My Egg Foo Young was thick, but very light and tasty. My wife's shrimp with broccoli was also, very good. And the best part was, with tip it was only $30, a real bargain for such delicious food.

My mom introduced me to Chen's years ago. Now whenever we come in from Colorado we head there for a wonderfully traditional meal that takes me back in time. My dad, loved brown sauce Shrimp and Lobster sauce. I find it almost impossible to locate this anywhere. Additionally, I believe they have THE best Wonton Soup on the planet! For me, Chen's is worth a 2,000 miles flight for the treat that is Chen's!

I wanted to like this place. The owner seems very earnest, and it's a sweet little place. However, when my husband and I went there on a Friday night for the Baked Fish Night, my dinner was so very poor. The entree was a baked cod with roasted potatoes and a vegetable. It looked good, but when I dug in, the fish was cooked, but cold, and the same could be said for the potatoes. The waitress was very accommodating when I said my meal was cold, took it away, and then brought it back steaming (obviously microwaved). Now the potatoes were soft and mushy. I can only think that this meal was cooked ahead and then refrigerated. Not something I want to pay restaurant prices for. Sorry, but it will take a lot for me to try this place again, if ever.BTW, the spelling for the restaurant name should be "Cucina".

Iâm very confused by the reviews on here. The only people who enjoy this food must be people who donât care about their health, enjoy deep-fried everything, and donât know quality food. We ordered delivery for the first and last time. We ordered Peking dumplings, spicy duck, egg drop soup, chicken and broccoli, house pork appetizer, and vegetable fried rice. As soon as we opened the first container we called the restraunt- the spicy duck was battered and deep fried. The man said that yes this is correct- however no where on the menu did it say it is supposed to be breaded and deep fried. Disgusting. The dumplings are 90% batter, see picture attached. It is a small croissant with a nugget of meat. Again- like trashy Chinese, not authentic. The pork appetizer was way too sweet, pure sugar. The fried rice had no flavor beyond oil. The only edible part was the chicken and broccoli which we had to pour soy sauce all over to add flavor to. We ended up throwing out the entire delivery. Such a waste of money. Owner didnât care either. Save yourself the hassle.. unless grease filled fried Americanized Chinese is your thing
