Mouton" is situated in Port de Vallee, a tiny hamlet near Angers. It is a "longere" i.e. a long house, the oldest part of which is a tower built in the 17th century. It used to be an inn and a tollhouse for the river traffic on the Loire. A century later the current livingroom and kitchen were added. A very extensive terrace is at the front of the house. Breakfast and dinner are served there. There are very comfortable couches and chairs.
A warm welcome, a comfortabele and relaxed stay
Reviewed By moenroosIt was so nice to stay at le Mouton. Their was a warm welcome, with a nice glass of loire wine. We felt at home immerdiatly. The roomswas comfortabel and the bed slept very well. The bathroom was nice too. Le Mouton is situated just fine. Close to the Loire, in the middle off green fields, no traffic. But on the other hand close to everything even by foot. We loved the dogs and the sheep too. Love to come back.

Manoir de Jouralem is a boutique B&B set in 3 hectares of gardens and oak woodland between Angers and Saumur in the Loire Valley vineyards. Each of the four spacious en-suite rooms has a king-sized bed with Egyptian cotton linen, goose-down duvet and Hypnos mattress. In summer, breakfast at Manoir de Jouralem is served overlooking the timber-clad swimming pool and neighbouring organic vineyard.

Reviewed By 788suepI chose very carefully, taking my time to search for a place where we could expect luxury, something a little different and excellent food. I found it! The occasion was for my husband's 60th birthday. We were so happy with absolutely everything. Just like the photos only even better. The food was amazing and because this is not a big hotel, really personalised service. Each wine and course explained. We hope to return again with friends.

Reviewed By ericab0nd22Just returned from 2 weeks staying at Mulberry Cottage in the beautiful grounds of Chateau Giraudiere. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we required - TV, DVD, barbeque and a well equipped kitchen. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life, then this is the place for you, although Angers is only 20 mins away with plenty to do there. The cottage is very private and peaceful and the views from the Chateau overlooking the surrounding countryside are spectacular. The owner's Catherine and Philipe were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Philipe even lent my husband a pair of reading glasses after he lost his. The village of Blaison Gohier is only a short 15 mins walk and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. This is a good base from which to visit the many chateau's and taste the local wine. I can thoroughly recommend this property and would love to make a return visit sometime.

Reviewed By DodgersFan2016Had a great three night stay at De La Boire Bavard. Brilliant, brilliant breakfast. Well located for restaurants and days out. Hot tub was a bonus and made up for the swimming pool being covered up. The room we had is best suited for people under 5ft tall or you have to walk around bent double.
