Aki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

We were here celebrating a grandsons birthday. The restaurant was full. Good thing we had reservations. We were taken right in. They even put an ice cream cake in the freezer for us for dessert. The food was delicious, very large portions. The fried rice was tasty, and you almost wanted to eat it instead of the main dish. There is even a vegetarian option. The show is a typical hibachi restaurant show. But the food made up for it. It was quite warm near the grill and the birthday boy had a difficult time with the heat and had to go outside.

Altoona Gourmet Buffet

I came here for the lunch buffet. It was pretty good. Not the greatest I've ever had but not bad either. One of the chicken dishes I tried (can't remember which one) was very dry like it was over cooked. But the peppered steak was awesome. Very tender and flavorful. I'm a big lover of egg drop soup and theirs was awesome as well. I would like to go back and try the dinner.

Lena's Cafe

Reviewed By BrentF23

Once again we tried Lena’s Cafe for a birthday celebratory dinner tonight. I went in with an open mind seeing the last two times I had eaten there, I was pretty disappointed. The first time I went there two years ago, I ordered chicken Parmesan. Honestly it tasted like veal and I even questioned my server and she assured me that it was in fact the chicken. The last time I went there, I tried a grilled chicken salad just for something different. It was ok; nothing special and left pretty hungry. Tonight I thought I’d give the chicken Parmesan another try seeing it’s one on my favorite dishes. Once again I wasn’t sure what neat I was eating and the side of pasta was just ok. Three other family members ordered the traditional spaghetti and meatballs which Lena’s is known for and they couldn’t have been more pleased with their meals. Our last family member ordered breaded veal with a side of rigatoni tonight. The veal was so tough, she had ask for a steak knife as it resembled shoe leather as she tried to eat it. She was embarrassed to send it back and she left hungry as well tonight. If you take anything from this review, my advice is go to Olive Garden or just stick to pasta there.

This was my first trip to a Panda Express. I took advantage of the online ordering system because of having limited time for a work lunch break. The positives - online ordering was VERY quick and easy. It was ready for me as soon as I walked in. The positives unfortunately end there. The fried rice was very bland. The “entree” portions were extremely small. I had three - literally 3 pieces of beef in my beef and broccoli. It was all broccoli. The cheese rangoons tasted like fried cream cheese with nothing else (usually these are my favorite anywhere else - but this time they fell flat)If you only have time for fast food and this is your only option - go here. But for tastier Chinese food - go literally anywhere else.
