Ellwood City is a borough in Beaver and Lawrence counties in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Ellwood City is 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Pittsburgh and some 8 miles (13 km) south-southeast of New Castle. In the past, Ellwood City sustained many heavy industries such as steel-tube mills, steel-car works, building-stone and limestone quarries, foundries and machine shops, and coal-mining. The population was 7,921 at the 2010 census. Of the population, 7,289 lived in Lawrence County, while 632 lived in Beaver County.

The staff at this restaurant saved my son's graduation dinner! They accommodated our party of 9 after another local restaurant completely botched our reservations! Shakespeare's came through with flying colors and saved the day! They were even able to place us in a private area of the restaurant! The food was outstanding, and the waiter did a wonderful job! While this place may seem a bit off the beaten track, it is well worth the visit!

We arrived a little after 9:00 and all the tables were already taken in this restaurant, which is not that big to hold a weekend breakfast crowd. My husband I sat at the counter, where we found the seats a little low and got a bit uncomfortable after the wait for our breakfast. Once received, the food was GREAT. Blueberry pancakes, stuffed French toast and bacon. The grill cook and his assistant have obviously worked together before and they had a good system going, and the assistant made great food presentation on the plates.My only critique? As very busy as they were, the female owner of the restaurant, could not lend a hand to the waitresses or the cook for any reason whatsoever. All she could do was handle the cash coming into the register and lean on the counter when she wasn't doing that. I thought this very unbecoming, because if she really cared about her business, her staff and her customers, I would think she would do all she could to help things move along during a VERY busy time period. She could collect and count money though.... ** geesh.. ** Kudos to the employees there though. They are great!

Always a great place to eat. The food is very good and so are the prices. What is excellent is there service you are always welcomed here and your order is usually taken quickly and the food is always out to the table in very quick order. Would highly recommend this Restaurant.

This is the biggest disappointment I've had for chili dogs. Ellwood has had great chili dogs over the yrs., boy this is not it. I litterly threw them in the garbage. The one in Beaver Falls isn't bad not great but...this place no no no no. The chili was awful. Go to new castle to P.O. lunch or Beaver Falls but avoid this place
