We were a group of five having shrimp tempura, trout, filet mignon and fish special. All were delicious. Loved the Mayfair dressing on the house salad. My halibut and scallops dish was outstanding -cooked perfectly. Everyone loved the shrimp tempura. Service from Mark and staff were helpful and attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely be back.

We went with another couple to Gerards who recommended the current special of soft shell crab. I have had soft shell crab in New Orleans and Savannah. This was every bit as good if not better. Also enjoyed some blue point oysters. Delicious and very reasonably priced. They offered many other fresh fish dishes, often hard to find in St. Louis. There is one puzzle....very few other diners. Don't understand as the food is great, pleasant dining room, white table cloths, good wine list. The positive is you can be spontaneous, don't need a reservation! Try this hidden gem. You won't be disappointed.

The Restaurant was packed on a Wednesday evening, principally a good sign. Reservations are a must.Attentive service, explaining the specials, knowledgeable regarding everything on the Menu. My starter was salmon carpaccio with prawn ceviche. Excellent, not too big in size - real starter. As main I had the Barramundi which was grilled well however, seasoned with far too much salt. Asking the Colleagues on the table they all felt the same, all fish dishes were too salty - the reason for me only rating with 3 stars.Desert still fitted in, i had the cheese cake with pineapple sorbet - delicious. I am sorry about your Visit. We are much better than what you experienced. I will get with my chef and make sure we review proper seasoning with our line team. If there is anything I can do for you in the future to make up for this please reach out to me at [email protected]. We thank you for your business. Thanks, Mitch Cleary General Manager.

Initially our group of 7 couples made plans to again converge on LRG recently on Saturday. They took our reservation and agreed to accommodate us for another enjoyable night out with some discounts. By the time the date arrived 6 if the 14 could not join us. That did not bother LRG 1 bit and they treated the 8 of us like Gold. Jason, our waiter was terrific and Theresa, the Manager, backed him up in multiple ways and is to be commended for helping make it a terrific dinner experience for us in every sense of the word. Thanks to all at LRG.
