Bruket Scandic Hotell

We were 6 persons, and chose "Brukets Smaksreise", a 6 course meal with food to share. The courses apparently vary day by day. Wine recommendations for every meal were good, and the food delicious. Nice atmosphere, and though we did not finish by closing time, there was no rushing from the staff. Location is great, just a few steps away from the train station, and a short stroll from the bus terminal.Hi HildeHansenThank you for the great feedback. Hope we will see you again some time in the future. A warm welcome back.Best regards Benjamin Schofield

I showed up with my american friend just one minute before closing time. This was no problem at all and we had some very delicious potato dumplings. I love the Norwegian potato dumplings and we were not disappointed. And my friend from Chicago had a big smile on his face after the dinner.Recommended!Thank you so much, SDR59 :) It warms our hearts that our traditional norwegian cousine is enjoyd by so many people, even from the U.S. Hope to see you again soon :)

Egon Lorenskog

Reviewed By TimG706

Two of my friends in the area invited me to dine at Egon in Lørenskog. I had never been to an Egon before and didn't know what to expect. The first thing that struck me was that the staff seemed genuinely friendly and efficient. Once seated with a menu I had a chance to look around at my surroundings. I could best describe it as eclectic. There is the most amazing selection of oddments used as decoration. The menu was nearly as diverse as the decor with several themes. One of my friends and I chose the Lofoten cod while the other friend chose a pasta dish. We all enjoyed our meals but the vegetables accompanying the fish were cold. I raised this with a waiter and in no time fresh vegetables were supplied. The two that were not driving shared a half bottle of wine. The wine was good and good value. After the main course two of us had dessert, banana split. For some reason we both got the urge to relive this dish from our childhoods. They were delicious and filling. What more can you want?As I was being treated I do not know what the final bill came to but judging from the menu the prices were quite reasonable for Norway. This is somewhere that I would come back to.
