Perro Salado hands down has the best and freshest Mexican around! Try the chicken tinga.. yum. And their margaritas are full of fresh ingredients that just add to the meal. Located In a funky old house, indoor and outdoor seating. Cute bar if just in for a drink! Never disappoints!

The restaurant was crowded so we could not change our table. We liked the feel of the restaurant. The food and server were good but nothing really made for an outstanding experience. The bad part as stated in the title is the table. We were on the 2nd floor. I wish I would have taken a pic but the booth right at the end against the wall was where we sat. The bad, there was a wooden box/garbage so close to the table where the wait staff cleans the plates from everyone's table. Who thinks that is a good idea. I suggest a change.

Although there are many restaurants near the Hampton hotel we didn't want a chain so chose this Mexican. Food tasty but drinks menu had no prices which resulted in $28 for sangria!!! Waitresses attentive but none smiled which is unusual for America

Diego's Bodega

Late on a Friday-afternoon, my wife & I decided to eat early... sitting 'downstairs', as the 'upstairs' hadn't yet opened. We chose a 'booth', but moved to a 'table'... that being 'less uncomfortable' (+ more spacious). Also, the "heavy-metal" music (for us) was an 'annoyance'... which gave thought to 'going elsewhere'. However, we were hungry, so decided to eat there. In short... while the Margarita was excellent (though pricey), & the burritos OK (nothing special)... we also ordered a "Chips & Salsa" side @$4- (which was 'surprisingly-meager'). And when we asked for 'more Salsa', we were brought a VERY-small plastic-container (maybe '2-in W' by '5/8-in H')... at a charge of "$2-" for the 'miserly-sized supplement' (on our $40+ bill). So I think it fair to say that when a "Mexican" eatery elects to 'charge extra' for "Chips & Salsa" (along with a meal & drinks), that's a "S-T-R-E-T-CH". But to 'then add a 2nd charge' for a mere 'token-sized' portion (of Salsa) "CROSSES-THE-LINE"... by adding "INSULT-TO-INJURY".
