Offering age-old tradition and timeless recipes that have been passed down through generations, the restaurant successfully combines cuisine and atmosphere to create a dining experience that won't soon be forgotten.
This small restaurant never fails to satisfy its customers, in terms of both the quality of its meals and the volume of its servings. You really can eat half, take half home, and have 2 satisfying meals. My favorite is the moussaka, but I've liked everything I've tried there. The lemon potatoes are a really nice side. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable.

A Lebanese, family run restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Serving great pita wraps, fresh ingredients, the best hummus and baba ghanooj around. Open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. Hookahs offered after hours. Belly dancers perform on
Mooneyâs is a very casual, pay at the counter, place that serves consistently good middle eastern food. Outdoor seating is pleasant. The falafel and hummus are delicious. Both set menu and mix/match options are offeredâmostly salads and sandwiches. There are usually a few beers on tap and three or four wines by the glass. Wine is only drinkable at best, but inexpensive. Overall, a reliable spot for a quick, casual, reasonably priced meal.

I went against my own rule and set a high expectation. I should not have done so. Started right away with the know-it-all manager who proudly announced how long the restaurant has been around. Longevity does not necessarily mean good food. All styrofoam and plastic foodware. Another sign of what was to come. My chicken Souvlaki was rubbery and everything was covered with Feta to mask the lack of flavor and added to the plate looking full. Gyro was salty and Moussaka was not good either. No pictures needed.

When ever I go out to eat I always think about Zitos first. This place is amazing. If you want pizza, pasta or Greek, you can have it all. My wife always gets spaghetti with meat sauce and I get gyro plate with extra lemon potatoes. We also get pizza when we are in the mood for pizza. I personally like the white pizza with a side of marinara sauce for dipping the crust. Marinara is the best Iâve ever had.
