So we were spontanously looking for a nice, cozy place to have some dinner and we found GEM on @tripasvisor here. First the road through private posession got us a bit insecure, but as we came to the place itself, we were amazed! Terrace directly on the water, very 'condensed' but perfectly fitting menu and the food was just great! Also the spectrum on beverages which are very good priced within the happy hours. I'm in love with the place and strongly recommend it to anyone! Plus - the service is one of a kind and it makes the experience even more perfect! So thank you, GEM, for the lovely evening!:)

If you like Peruvian food and you are in Miami make sure to come to this restaurant. It is absolutely delicious. We have tried most of their ceviches and love all of them. There is one in particular that even won a prize in Florida but cannot remember the name (ask the waiter) I can also recommend the grilled octopus and the chaufa. The service is always phenomenal, you can see that they put a lot of effort in their staff trainings because all of the waiters that have served us are very professional and polite. The atmosphere is great, the service is very good, the food is fantastic.

If you are in the Miami area, north Miami to be exact, stop Baleen Kitchen on Collins Ave. It is the restaurant at the Sole Hotel. The chef uses only the freshest ingredients and and knows how to pair them together for a great dish. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all have great dishes. Huevos rancheros, turkey sandwich and 1/2 roasted chicken are some recommendations. Ask for Violera and Carlos Rafael for your servers. They know what they are doing. The kitchen is very slow but with them, the wait will not feel as long. The prices are also good for the area. Nice find if you are walking the beach and the neighborhood.
