The municipality comprises the city of Dendermonde proper and the towns of Appels, Baasrode, Grembergen, Mespelare, Oudegem, Schoonaarde, and Sint-Gillis-bij-Dendermonde. Dendermonde is located at the mouth of the river Dender, where it flows into the Scheldt. Always busy in 'taverne oud gemeentehuis' and the customers + rumours were right..good service & nice price setting. Menu with focus on grill but plenty of other things (pasta/wok/fish etc) are available. I adore these little restaurants who know what they want you to experience. You want great meat, wonderfully cooked on a wood stove, great service? Come here. End of line. I had a succulent entrecôte steak with baked potatoes. Great flavor!But here's my big surprise: we had a very good carpaccio with Puglia Burrata. The burrata was soft, creamy, a little bit chewy, with massive flavours, lightly drizzled with great olive oil and some pepper. Hmmm ... took me back to the little village in Italy where I had this for the first time. Now I need to go back to try their slow-cooked option. Kudos guys!

This grill has a set menu, but you can have à la carte food and there are specials of the day.The place is not big, and the seating is uncomfortable with not enough space between tables or even at the table, conversations at neighbouring tables could be heard (or you could even participate. It was very hot inside as well.Waitresses were nice and tried to keep up with the full restaurant.Food itself was ok for a grill, no more. To me it is ok for a meal with friends, but don't go there for a tête à tête !
