Dendermonde (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌdɛndərˈmɔndə], French: Termonde) is a Belgian city and municipality located in the Flemish province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek. The municipality comprises the city of Dendermonde proper and the towns of Appels, Baasrode, Grembergen, Mespelare, Oudegem, Schoonaarde, and Sint-Gillis-bij-Dendermonde. Dendermonde is located at the mouth of the river Dender, where it flows into the Scheldt. The town has a long-standing (folkloric) feud with Aalst (situated south along the same river), which dates back from the Middle Ages.

Very nice experience. We took the discovery menu, 5 courses and were very happy with the outcome. The food is mostly local and of high quality. The waiter who seated us and did most of the serving was extremely helpful (we moved from outside to inside without any problem) and the wines matched the food and were refilled quite a few times. I would recommend everyone to end your meal at Ter Monde with a coffee as the little extras that come with it are a dish on their own.

Always busy in 'taverne oud gemeentehuis' and the customers + rumours were right..good service & nice price setting. Menu with focus on grill but plenty of other things (pasta/wok/fish etc) are available. Chinese keuken aan een democratische prijs met een zeer vriendelijk onthaal, kaarsje op tafel en linnen servetten maar vooral heel proper.Wat je niet op krijgt mag je meenemen, ideaal voor kleine eters maar met honger ga je hier niet buiten ;)Wachttijden: niets op aan te merken al hadden ze veel afhaalmenu's klaar te maken en waren de tafeltjes goed bezet.

A bit pricey but fair enough good cuisine. Staff is friendly and helpfull.All good things come with a price. Typical local cuisine with hints of French and Italian cuisine.Recommended restaurant.

I adore these little restaurants who know what they want you to experience. You want great meat, wonderfully cooked on a wood stove, great service? Come here. End of line. I had a succulent entrecôte steak with baked potatoes. Great flavor!But here's my big surprise: we had a very good carpaccio with Puglia Burrata. The burrata was soft, creamy, a little bit chewy, with massive flavours, lightly drizzled with great olive oil and some pepper. Hmmm ... took me back to the little village in Italy where I had this for the first time. Now I need to go back to try their slow-cooked option. Kudos guys!

Amazing and savoury lunch for a group of 16 people which is always more difficult. Tasty carpaccio without the usual synthetic truffle oil. Delicious and juicy pintade. Magnific dessert. Very gentle staff.
