For about 10 years, I have been going to Mezza for lunch about twice a month and the food is consistently excellent. I love the fried pita chips they bring when you are seated - but canât eat them anymore on my current diet. The lunch specials are large portions and a decent value. My favorite is the kefta beef kebab - usually as a salad, and sometimes as a wrap. The wrap comes with French fries, which are crispy and delicious. The chicken swarma is also very good. Service is usually attentive and fast, unless the place is full. Highly recommend Mezza. First night in Houston...a little hard to find but worth it for the food. Heavy on meat----steak,chicken. Had the mixed appetizer---very good would recommend if you have not tasted the flavor palette of South African food before. Had the chicken kabob(can't remember the name and comes in beef too), wife had the chicken curry. Both were good. Not inexpensive but still a decent value. Staff is working hard to make it an experience. Decor is nice.

We have had lunch twice at this somewhat newish spot on Richmond Ave just inside Loop 610. David, the owner and executive chef has some interesting and tasty recipes that are unique.The sticky rib appetizer is fabulous! So delicious, crispy and wonderful flavor. The baked oysters with bread crumbs and Parmesan are also quite good. There are many fish items, all skillfully prepared.The lunch portions are good size with most only costing $14.95. Desserts are also tasty with excellent white chocolate bread pudding and chocolate pot de creme. Service is efficient and friendly. Nice bar with several TVs. A nice edition to this part of Richmond.
