This is a great local, non-chain restaurant that really should be tried. Exceptionally clean with cute and creative mid-century modern diner decor. The menu is extensive but homey and not overly complicated. Large counter seating option which we enjoy in this type of place. Friendly staff with a laid back, unhurried atmosphere. Good, reliable food. Server gladly accommodated our dietary needs. Good value, too

The dinner is always full and everyone is running around to keep everyone served. The prices are good for feeding a large family while on vacation. The food was very good but the tables need to be cleared faster as lots of people were waiting for tables that were still a mess from customers leaving. We will sop again for breakfast !

You could experiment by sampling 100 seemingly similar roadside diners in every farflung corner of America in 2018, and come away disappointed or dispairing each time. Not so for Longway's wonderful establishment, which delivers on absolutely every level. Caring, pleasant servers who go the extra mile to coax a smile out of distracted visitors? Check. Blazingly fast kitchen that instantly turns out appealing breakfast plates using fresh local ingredients? Yup. Familiar atmosphere that reassures you there are comfortable points along the road where you might stumble in and exit feeling well cared for? That too. The coffee is just fine. The prices seem a good decade or so behind the times. Longway's is a find, and worth driving at least half-an-hour out of your way to experience.

If you like to eat at a diner that will remind you of a classic 50's , clean, large portions of homemade food, then this is the place. All last summer Friede's was my spot every Sat. for a great breakfast! Home made bread that I would order toasted reminded me of my grandmothers. The menu offers just about everyone the best breakfast in town.
