Went with a group of ladies. Everyone had a great meal. The tomato soup, as per those who ordered it, was fantastic. I had a caesar salad which was fantastic.Again, everyone had a different dinner and all were very good. My wild boar orrichiette was fantastic.Only issues were that the only credit and debit card processing machine was not working. Had to write out our credit card numbers with our names. They could have probably called in for authorization or downloaded an app onto the ipad. It would have been more of an issue had the restaurant been busy.Second issue was that the 2 kitchen staff, 1 with very bushy hair were not wearing hair nets. I believe this is against health and safety regulations.

I met my sonâs family for a pre-holiday lunch (a customary half way between his GTA and our Niagara home). He chose this place based on favourable TripAdvisor reviews.Based on the strange name for the restaurant, I was not expecting much. Turned out I was in for a pleasant surprise. A comfortable and cozy, warm (very warm) neighbourhood restaurant.Service was quick and friendly and the food was well prepared upscale bar food. Lots of choices, even for our picky grandkids, and the food came out quickly and well presented. Even though there were six of us for a brunch Sunday, there was no pressure to hurry up and leave. Prices are not low but rather close to the GTA average for this type of bar/restaurant.All in all a good find and we will likely return. About the only slight complaint is that the restaurant faces west and if you are seated by the window, it becomes very hot and glary, even on a cold day - might consider installing blinds for such days.

This was my second visit to Kerr Street Cafe and my last.The food was mediocre. I had the grilled cheese which was greasy and very sweet. I didn't finish it. My husband had the winter salad with smoked chicken. Sounds good but he barely ate any of it. Dark hot chocolate was mostly frothed milk and barely any chocolate flavour. We couldn't even hear each other because they jam everyone into tables of two. You can't but hear what everyone else was talking about though. Not my kind of place ..to each his own I guess. I will add that the wait staff was great and we still left a generous tip.

Food is hit and miss! Service was horrible and our server disappeared in the middle of the brunch. We had to flag down other servers. Itâs very expensive and poor quality for some entres for the price. Burnt fries are unacceptable with a $24 hamburger. Dessert cart looked like a dirty dish cart reinvented. They even ran out of offerings.Drink selection was limited and some were unavailable. They seemed unprepared to even be open. It was a major problem to pay the bill because of weak wifi. We will not return!!!
