From the moment you step through that big beautiful, architectural hand crafted (by the owner) door, you are in an enchanting European influenced space. Everything from the front door to the bar was hand built by the proprietor. The food parallels the exquisite elements. Creatively constructed dishes served on innovative plating are impressive. The unique salads, appetizers, mains and desserts delight seasoned diners and the balance of the menu satisfies those who have a more simple palette. Coffee maker alone is the price of a small car and makes the best cappuccino Iâve had this side of Toronto. Service was impeccable. Delightful. Informative.

Unfortunately this is a case of a nice place being ruined by the service. She blamed it on the fact that she was currently in a fight with the owner which is making her distracted. Our order was all wrong. She was clearly upset when taking the order. My drink never came. The server was clearly irritated. With everything. Including us. It was a strange experience and we wonât rush back but the food was very nice. Sad.

Went for lunch to support the downtown restaurants while the road construction is happening. We sat on the patio, the chairs are very uncomfortable, hard small metal chairs.I had the seared tuna salad, the greens were not properly inspected and there were some mushy slimy leaves. Four fine slices of tuna, one quail egg and about 4 beans. The spaghetti was tasty but a small portion. The best part of the meal was the creme brûlée. I am reviewing the Coloossus in Port Credit. 12 of us went for dinner and everyone really loved their food.We ordered different items off the menu and tried each others food and enjoyed everything.Great food, good service, reasonable prices.Would go back.

My friends at Specchio hair salon recommended a great Italian "Sicilian" restaurant in downtown Oakville for non mange cake patrons. You walk in to be greeted by working owners with a flair for true hospitality. The menu is limited but perfected with scintillating taste, presentation, flavor and fragrance, everything consummately fresh served hot off the fire. Specials like the whole grilled octopus are delicious as is the pasta. Wines are exceptional mid range served with flair.

Absolutely delicious. Staff friendly and knows the menu. Great location ample parking. Had grilled Calamari / Saganaki / Grilled Seafood / Chicken Souvlaki / Baklava it was all delicious and their portions are very hearty. The Chef puts his heart and soul into everything he serves.There's something on the menu to suit every palate.

New to this area of town, friends recommended it....and it doesnât look anything on arrival as a unit with a small strip mall. However, the food and service were lovely. Sharing mezze was really good and all our mains were great. Friendly and attentive service.

We were in the Oakville area, so we decided to eat at Maro's. The food was OK, but nothing special. Same for the service. The ambiance is very casual, with a long table in the middle of the room, and other tables on the sides. So, if you're at the long table, you get to meet new friends.I wouldn't give Maro's a thumbs down, but I wouldn't recommend it either.
