I have been coming here for years and honestly it has gone down hill the past several visits. We used to LOVE coming here but something has changed! Hubby and I decided to grab takeout and go eat by the water at Colt Park. Figured chinese would be a fun thing to bring. I started with wonton soup (delicious), hubby had hot and sour soup which he loved too.I had the chicken lo mein combination (serves with fried rice and mini egg roll). The lo mein had zero flavor, fried rice was just ok (had to put duck sauce on it to flavor it up) and the egg rolls were good, but really small. Hubby had the Szechuan Chicken combination and he disliked all of it aside from the small egg roll. He too said it was flavorless. Not sure what is going on here, but I hope they realize that they are going down hill and will likely lose a lot od repeat customers due to this.

We stopped for an early dinner on our drive from Bristol to Providence. It is conveniently located right along 114. We were greeted nicely. The service was attentive but cool. The tuna poke was not the best. The tempura vegetables included asparagus which was nice. The sushi was constucted nicely and was good, but it was missing pizzaz. Solid decent experience, but no wow factor.
This place was called Golden Harvest last time I ate at this location. It was more recently Asia Cafe and as of May 2014, it turned into Bamboo Garden. My girlfriend and I were heading back from Newport and live in Warren and were craving Chinese. I suggested trying here as it was a new business. We pulled up and I went inside and ordered, and food was done in ten minutes which was nice. We didn't see any other customers but it was around 9:00 on a sunday. I used a coupon from menu which was nice. She got a Combo 13 and me a Combo 15.Combo 13: chicken fingers, crab rangoon, and boneless spare ribs.Combo 15: spare ribs, general tso's chicken, and egg rollWe also got a small chicken fingers for free with coupon.Chicken fingers were way too greasy with tiny strips of chicken inside. They were very hot and freshly made. Duck sauce was good too.Crab Rangoon were actually really got. Not our favorite shaped rangoon but tasted goodSpare Ribs were okay, typical sauce and they were kind of bland, nothing I'd want to order again. The General tso's was okay, but the sauce was strange and not spicy at all or like any other tso's sauce I am used too. Again wouldn't get it again. By far the worst part was the Egg Roll. The filling was horrible with a red tinted meat. As I was eating it, while seated, the egg roll leaked copious amounts of grease/oil into my clothing, and I was very annoyed. I have never eaten an egg roll saturated with so much grease/oil. Couldn't another bite after it leaked on me. I wanted to like this new place, really was hoping their food would be good as an alternative to my Chinese go to in Seekonk, but I won't be back and can't recommend it to anyone. It was just so lackluster. The only plus was it was cheap, all combo's were less than $8 and many had 3 items plus fried rice. Speaking of the fried rice, almost forgot, it was also bland and a bit too light for fried rice. There was lots of the white stringy stuff and onions, although onions were practically raw. Not really impressed with anything at Bamboo Gardens.

One word sums this place up-DIRTY. The eat in portion of the restaurant has certainly seen better days-everything was caked with grime. We also watched the chef taste food from the pot with the spoon he was cooking with. I have not been back since.
