Marukan Department Store's restaurant is on the top floor, offering some nice views if you can snatch a window seat. Usually busy on the weekends, it has a Showa style cafeteria. You order at the till, get food tickets, and go sit down. Someone will eventually come and take away half of your ticket. When they come back with the food they take the other half. Of course, it is most famous for the tall soft serve ice creams eaten with chopsticks. They come in a little stand too so you don't have to hold the cone. It is surprisingly fun! Everyone thinks so though, so sometimes the wait gets quite long... during Hanamaki Festival you are looking at about an hour! Regular weekend isn't that bad though. The pizza is also very good, the most similar to Canadian pizza that I have had in Japan, and only 500 yen!

昔から地元では愛されている伝統ある中華料理屋さんです。どちらかというと家庭的で、気軽に使えるお店です。ラーメンや餃子がオススメですが、特にオススメはパラパラに仕上がったチャーハンです。
