Local place with homey service and atmosphere and good food. Generous size cup serving of daily special soup would be a bowl elsewhere. Fresh fish filet flaky and lightly breaded on a Kaiser roll was similarly generous as was the shrimp basket and vege melt. Lots of local regulars let us know we were in the right spot for a weekday lunch.

Since I grew up on NYC style kosher delicatessens in my area, the search is always on for even a facsimile. If your in Port Charlotte, this is the closest Iâve found yet. We went for the Ruben and the regular corned beef sandwiches selected from an entire wall menu of soups, special combos, all types of sandwiches and salads. You find your table and wait for your electronic buzzer to call you to pick up your tray. So no wait service. The sandwiches we tried contain a half pound of lean meat sliced thin and were very tasty. We were also provided mini muffins, crackers and soft serve ice cream for desert at no charge. Definitely give this place a try!

We came here because the other restaurant in the strip mall was closed. Thought we might just have soup; but, OH BOY, what a great diner. Small, family run, they had fabulous soup, and great sandwiches, and a REAL BIG BARGAIN PRICING! i I would come here for lunch every day is I worked nearby.
