Small diner styled restaurant had heard great things about. I was disappointed that it wasnt more home cooking. The speacils were wrirtten on the blackboard so I assumed it was home type cooking. I think its more prepared not from scratch cooking at least what my group ordered. It was clean service was quick sorta friendly but food came timely and what was ordered. The place was busy seemed like regular patrons that everyone knew everyone.

The concept is great. For a bit over eleven dollars, you get unlimited visits to a huge salad bar, an array of soups, baked potatoes, and assorted breads. Everything is very fresh and much more varied than the usual salad places. A vegetarian can eat very well here with the huge assortment of veggies and beans as well one vegan soup and several other lacto-vegetarian soups. Don't forget the baked russet and sweet potatoes. I wish this chain would come to the Raleigh, North Carolina area. We are waiting! For now it's seem to be just in Florida and around Atlanta.

Pho 79

Reviewed By PackUpNGoNow

Pho 79 is located on Stirling Road and Davie Road in a Davie strip mall that is anchored by a large Asian grocery store as well as other Asian restaurants. There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot.Come to Pho 79 for a hot bowl of pho, a refreshing bowl of rice vermicelli or a rice platter. We had #21 vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork ($10.75) and #35 pho with chicken breast (small $8.25). Both were delicious. The vermicelli noodle dish comes in a large bowl - cold noodles with seasoned shredded carrots, bean sprouts, crushed toasted peanuts, strips of seasoned grilled pork and a spring roll. Pour on the seasoned dressing and top it off with a squirt of sweet hoisin sauce. Note that the dish comes with a crispy thin spring roll and not the large fried egg roll you might get at a Chinese take-out restaurant. The pho comes in three sizes (small $8.25, medium $9.45 and large $11). Check your fellow diners' tables to see how big the bowls are. A small bowl is large enough for most people. All pho bowls come with a plate of fresh herbs and bean sprouts to put in the hot bowl of soup and noodles. The staff is friendly and quick to refill your water glasses. Pho 79 is always packed with locals who appreciate a tasty, inexpensive and filling meal.
