Santa Monica Seafood

This is a casual dining place, but be not deceived, the food is really good. It is both a seafood market and a restaurant. We came here for lunch and thorough enjoyed everything we had. My mom had the grilled salmon salad; the salmon had a wonderful crust on it and it was just right. I had the halibut; it came potatoes and asparagus and there was a pesto sauce over the halibut. It'w wonderful eating halibut that is moist and tender and this one was cooked just right. We also shared the ahi tuna appetizer; it was seared and served with seaweed. It was a light and refreshing dish that I ate alternating with my main course; it turned out to be a nice balanced meal in terms of temperature, flavors, and textures. We had the tiramisu and it was good but not nearly as good as anything I had in Italy recently. Next time, I think I'll try a different dessert. The service was good and prompt and attentive, particularly at keeping the water glasses topped off. I'll look forward to eating here again.

We just stopped in for a quick snack and couldn't resist the delicious looking gelato - it was really tasty and rich the way we like it. It's also in a really interesting outdoor mall (anti-mall?) with very cool decor and comfy seating indoors & out. A great find!

My spouse had the Lobster bake, while my daughter had the Lobster dish, I had the Ciopino, my son in law the Linguinei with shrimp and my grandson had the the fried seafood platter. All were superb, the sides were very tasty and the portions were so large, that some was taken home!Thank you for your review, we appreciate it and hope we can serve you again soon!
