A great range of fish and seafood, expertly prepared in an authentic Hong Kong style. I have never been served anything less than excellent and the service is always very friendly. There are lots of great dishes on the menu, but do ask for recommendations based upon whatever fresh fish/seafood they have on the day of your visit. Well worth the short trip out of the city centre.

Mi and Pho

Very busy restaurant, with many dishes to chose from, ordered beef pho, papaya salad and a pork dish which were all very nice, presented well and generous in size and taste. Garnishes for pho come separately which is nice for the heat control. The staff were efficient and friendly, they also gave a pho doggie bag to take away. I'll definitely have to try their other dishes such as fried octopus another time. It's a very popular and busy place, even on a Sunday, so booking is recommended.

First visit to this restaurant having been recommended by friends who have also previously enjoyed a great steak at another renowned steak establishment just off Deansgate which we also love to visit. The building is steeped in history and there was a good atmosphere although the restaurant was not particularly busy.We had a porterhouse to share which was very nice although slightly overcooked at one end. We had a portion of chips and a portion of creamed spinach to share. The chips were really tasty but oh my there were only a dozen which at £4.75 is not really acceptable. At the ‘other establishment’ one portion was more than enough for two to share so if ordering at the Hawksmoor strongly suggest you order a portion each if you’re hungry !We ordered a 500ml carafe of Malbec which was really nice. What we didn’t like was that our server didn’t bring out the bottle to show us where the wine was coming from and then he just started to pour the wine not asking if we wanted to taste it. We stopped him and advised we wished to taste it to then be told we don’t need to because the wine is really good. Needless to say we tasted it and yes it was good but we were surprised at this unprofessional approach and not the best start to what was otherwise a very enjoyable meal.Hello,Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Thanks also for your kind words - we're so lucky to call this beautiful building home, and I pleased that you enjoyed the atmosphere also. That said, I'm sorry to hear of the points you've highlighted about the food and wine. Whilst not a colossal deal, it's the little things that we strive to perfect daily, and it sounds like we missed the mark on this occasion. To best highlight this to the rest of the team here, it would be great if you could share your comments via email to [email protected]. I hope to hear from you again soon, and look to getting everything perfect next time.Dale
