Loved this place but there was no proper ventilation and the kitchen is open!! We left smelling of food...not in a good way. Our server was great and our meals yummy! A tad overpriced, which wouldnât have bothered me if I didnât leave smelling like a line chef!

The Masons Restaurant Bar was recommended to us yesterday for drinks and cocktails. What a great recommendation, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour.The bar is small but has a fabulous atmosphere and they make an amazing Pornstar Martini!!

Had wanted to try here for ages and decided to try it after seeing a voucher deal. The place was quiet when we arrived and staff didnât seem very attentive. Finally ordered wine and a sharing board - the wine arrived and was dumped on the table, didnât even bother pouring the glasses. The sharing board looked impressive but was disappointing- had much better elsewhere. Staff didnât bother asking if everything was ok - seemed to be more bothered hiding behind the counter and talking amongst themselves. We ate here for evening meal, and breakfast the following day, at the end of October as guests in the hotel. The restaurant is extremely well presented and has a very high class feel about the place. The service we received was very professional, with an evening menu made up of mainly steak and fish based dishes and the breakfast choices equally as rich and decadent. The prices reflected the environment, but the food was plentiful and full of flavour, so worth the outlay with what was received.
