Stopped by Sunday afternoon imagine our surprise at the wonderful duo playing. Then expectations were blown away by the best burger Iâve ever had. The buffalo blue was truly stellar. Dessert - almond cake was also outstanding- not too sweet, light, just delish. Really remarkable visit. Hit up this Kozy and welcoming restaurant if you want to have a memorable afternoon or evening.

On Memorial Day Weekend, we were looking for a casual late lunch with friends, preferably with outdoor seating. We found it at Michael's. Michael's Restaurant is tucked away in a residential area of North Fishkill/Wappinger Falls. We were met immediately at the door by our sweet and smiling waitress Elizabeth who sat us at our table on the patio overlooking a beautiful lawn. We thouroughly enjoyed our potato skins appetizer, Michael's burger, veggie wraps, and drinks. The side of dill herb red potato salad was particularly good. Before leaving, Michael the restaurant owner even invited us to a game of bean bag toss. We had great time and we'll be back.

The charm of this place is the outdoor setting and seating (although indoor is available). They have an open air tent as well and live music on week ends. Their website is not very useful--check them out on Facebook instead. I have been 3 times--two for dinner and once for lunch. The food is very casual and the menu is not very extensive. (The beer list is VERY extensive!) First time I had a mushroom hamburger and it was wonderful-- large and done just right. Second time I had a seafood taco and it was good but was skimpy, given the price. The last time I had the arugula salad with melon and cheese and was very disappointed. Small bowl with ingredients sort of limply laid out--definitely not recommended. My partner had ribs twice and liked them a lot but the sides were skimpy--tiny bowls with a dab of salad and fruit. This is not a place to go for for special food, but rather for the atmosphere in which it is served.
