Aladdin's Eatery

First, I absolutely despise when a server asks if I want "x", in this case it was hot sauce, but neglects to say it costs extra. That's what happened for our dinner below and that knocked one star off right off the bat.I've been to this Aladdin's location twice in the last couple months. Once was for lunch; I got the Hummus Falafel Rolled. It was good, a solid C-grade; the falafel at the West Side Market stand is way better. I was with a larger group, about 10 people and our server handled it perfectly. Went back for dinner on a Sunday night. Our server was not good; there were only 2 of us on a slow Sunday night with only 2 other tables and another server and she mixed up both our drink orders and our food orders. At least she apologized and was nice. We got the Hummus Shawarma Plate and the Hummus Chicken Plate. Both were good; again, a sold C-grade. The hummus was ok; I've had way better hummus from a stand at the West Side Market. The meat on both was delicious we just wished there was more. The pita bread was ok too; again, nothing to rave about but not bad. Both plates were large enough for us to have leftovers for about 1 meal between the 2 of them. I've seen others rave about the hot sauce, but I thought it was just ok and not worth the extra price. If you want good Middle Eastern food this is probably as good as it gets in Middleburg Heights. We may return but we'll probably try other places first.Hi there,Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback from your recent visit. We are so sorry that you were not made aware that the hot sauce is an extra charge. We offer it to any guest who orders hummus because most of our guests love the combo. However, we will ensure to go over the protocol with our team that we need to tell our guests that the hot sauce is an extra charge. We also want to apologize that you did not experience our high standards of service on Sunday night. We will immediately forward your concerns so that we can correct and review our service standards. Would you send us your email so that we can reach out to you personally so we can make this up to you. We would love for you to come give us another chance. Thank you and we hope to hear back soon.

My mom and I really enjoyed all the vegetarian options here, including the spinach pie, pickles and warm pita bread. She loved the kibbe. The staff was very friendly too.

I ate here on my way across Ohio. I had the same meal as usual and it still delivers. I always get the vegetarian platter which covers a lot of items that I like. The owner/cook is very nice and explained to me that Lebanon is not entirely of Islam, and that is why they brew beer and wine over there. The Lebanese beer is very nice and I get it every time. The process is that one places an order at the counter and then it is brought out to the table. When finished, you pay at the counter. This is a little different but is OK. I could not figure out why it was not busier as it is clean and has great food. I recommend it for sure.
