Perro Salado hands down has the best and freshest Mexican around! Try the chicken tinga.. yum. And their margaritas are full of fresh ingredients that just add to the meal. Located In a funky old house, indoor and outdoor seating. Cute bar if just in for a drink! Never disappoints!

Diegos is a casual Mexican Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Open year round for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Family owned restaurant that sits on Bowens Wharf next to shopping and hotels. Reservations and walk ins always welcome!
The restaurant was crowded so we could not change our table. We liked the feel of the restaurant. The food and server were good but nothing really made for an outstanding experience. The bad part as stated in the title is the table. We were on the 2nd floor. I wish I would have taken a pic but the booth right at the end against the wall was where we sat. The bad, there was a wooden box/garbage so close to the table where the wait staff cleans the plates from everyone's table. Who thinks that is a good idea. I suggest a change.

Experience the epitome of classic New England al fresco dining on our rolling lawn, a timeless Newport icon. For decades, locals and visitors alike have savored our take on regional cuisine, fresh seafood, and cocktails paired with outstanding water views
We came here for lunch one day with a table on the patio, looking over the inlet from the Atlantic into Newport Harbor. The food, particularly the calamari, was very good, and the cocktails from the bar very enjoyable. We felt the pricing was good too for the lunch. Make sure you ask for a table close to the water and watch the sailboats go by and the cruise ships swing in the harbor about a mile away.
