Our group of 5, of whom 2 eat here frequently, enjoyed dinner. We ordered two servings of trout, plus chicken enchiladas, scallops, and a classic chicken dish. Itâs nice to join friends at a restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a wide variety of delicious, attractive dishes.

Chef Paco is great and really makes this place a destination. His moles are amazing. Tried the enchiladas with 6 different mole sauces. Spectacular. Be prepared to be charmed into dessert or other items. The entire staff is just great and so is the food.

We/ve been to La Espanola four or five times now, usually bringing friends with us, and by this point have had probably 80% of the items on the tapas menu. Everything, ranging from the olives to the lamb chops, has been consistently excellent. Favorites include the surprisingly spicy meatballs, the flaming gambas a la brava, the fried avocado, and those lamb chops, which may be worth a visit all by themselves. We've tried most of the dessert menu, but keep coming back to the churros, which are freshly fried and totally delicious. I'm pleasantly surprised by the excellence of their food, because it's not at all clear that that's what their focus is. They've got a full-line up of entertainment, ranging from karaoke to flamenco, starting at about 8 or 9 in the evening. But the food hasn't let us down yet.
