We chose this restaurant on the basis of a recommendation for its buffet lunch. There was a small selection of starters, three main course curries and two rice dishes together with naanbread, raita and mint yogurt. The food was tasty and spicy. The buffet was good value at CHF21 per person.

Having had so many meat and two veg meals during our stay in Vevey we fancied something a bit different towards the end of our stay, so went to Restaurant Kashmir for a change.This is your classic Indian restaurant really, not a fantastic atmosphere but the place seemed busy enough, and the guy who served us was perfectly fine, if not the most outgoing (he did also charge us for an extra beer we didnât have but was quite apologetic when this was pointed out) The food was definitely decent, but a lot less spiced than perhaps weâre used to- not in terms of the heat levels, but just from a flavour perspective, but I wonder if were a bit spoiled in the uk when it comes to curries. All in all though, a perfectly reasonable meal, and if you fancy something a bit different from the normal brasserie style food Iâd recommend giving this place a try. The one thing I would be careful of is the conversion from CHF to EUR on the menu- this is 1:1 which isnât what the exchange rate is at, so definitely pay in Swiss francs!

Almost fell over this place by accident whilst in Montreux as itâs just off the promenade on the front but Iâm glad we did. Good food, great service and lovely staff. Recommended
