i have been told to go here and i was not really paying attention because it had changed owners .. well what a great surprise the food was excellent and the the service was very good.Bonjour Darlyne et merci pour ce gentil commentaire mais je dois vous avouer que nous sommes propriétaires aux Bartavelles depuis plus de 14 ans.A très bientôt je l'espère.Céline

We've been coming to Thoule for years and over that time this restaurant seems to have changed hands more frequently than most.We'd never tried this incarnation before last night and I'm glad we did. On the beachfront with lovely views and so much more upmarket then the more cafe-like place next door.The staff are smart and welcoming and the ambiance is nice.We ordered the burtata to share as a starter and then I had the cheeseburger and my wife ordered a plain grilled fish as she is allergic to garlic and onion.2 negatives that dropped a 5 circle review: the burger came up well done (but still juicy) not the rare I had requested and my wife's fish came with no vegetables because the ones it was supposed to have had garlic in them. For â¬22 you expect more than a grilled fish and a bowl.of steamed rice.Dessert was ice cream and a lovely creme brulee tart.Along with a couple of cocktails and 2 soft drinks the bill was â¬97. Not so cheap but we did have 3 courses.We'll be coming back I'm sure.
