L'Etoile Restaurant

Best swordfish we've ever had. Succulent, unlike the usual dried cardboard. Portion just a tad small.Served in an uplifting architectural room looking directly at the capitol building. Also had the soft shell crab. A tad salty but served on an interesting sauce base. All the food was presented in artistic, elegant arrangements. Just one problem: the restaurant's so dark, it's hard to fully appreciate the craftsmanship without the light from a cell phone.Impeccable service from Emily and especially the sommelier Michael. Knowledgeable and eager to go out of their way to provide helpful information.Wide ranging and eclectic wine list.Might be nice to have parking attendants, but there is a public structure nearby around the corner.

Brasserie V - Neighborhood Eatery & Tap Room

I've been to Brasserie V a couple of times, after a friend's recommendation as the place to get the best burger. I admit that I was not amazed by their burger; Although I did like the meat, I did not particularly like having a toastie bread instead of a bun. I've tried their salads, which I found to be a good attempt but would not describe them as good. However, I have really enjoyed their steak thus I am giving 3 bubbles instead of 2. Their beer menu is extensive but they have small measures.

La Kitchenette

French Homestyle Cafe & Restaurant!

Reviewed By Praveen J

We had dinner at La Kitchenette last week. We've eaten there about half a dozen times and have always been impressed with the delicious food and the friendly and efficient service. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables, but has a very nice ambiance. They serve French "comfort food" at reasonable prices. The only complaint I have is that they haven't changed their menu in a long time--although they do have some specials. I would suggest that they come up with seasonal menus for some variety.
