Love their pancakes. Always too big but very tasty. Crispy bacon, decent cinnamon roll French toast.

What is it about small airports, they always seem to have great little restaurants! Maniac Mike’s at Cable Airport is no exception. I was house sitting almost within walking distance so when I had a friend visiting that is a pilot I thought this would be the perfect breakfast spot; I was right. I like the basics when it comes to breakfast; bacon, eggs, hash browns & toast ($8.05). In this case it was an English muffin and the homemade potatoes with green peppers and onion were delish. My friends had the French toast ($5.60) and the eggs, corned beef hash with biscuits and gravy ($8.30). Other than thinking it was too much (small appetites) they said it was delicious. I enjoyed this place so much I returned with another visitor the following week. I had the same, while she had “The Ace” ($7.80) which came with pancakes on a separate plate because they were as BIG as the plate! The inside (first visit) is clean with a great 50s diner feel, outside (second visit) was a bit breezy but great view of incoming planes. Service is friendly, food arrives really fast, and you can’t really beat the prices. If I still lived in this part of the world I think I would become a regular here!

Zeke's Eatin' Place

When I'm in town to see my dad, this is where I go for breakfast. Known for their GIGANTIC pancakes, this place rocks! Very down-homey, with images of John Wayne and other western TV and movie heroes on the walls. Also serves lunch, but I've never been there for that. You can't go wrong with Zeke's breakfast, though. Beware, lines can get long on weekends.
