We frequented this place daily while visiting Bermeo. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak some English. This helped a lot when describing the many tapas ingredients. We sampled many of the tapas which were delicious and in the evening the fresh fish dishes were excellent. You can eat indoor or out and take in the ambiance as it is right on the front of the port. What a popular success this new tapas restaurant in Bakio. Rabas every lunchtime - yea! Very high quality. Be patient. Enjoy a glass of wine while sitting in the plaza as the kitchen can be very slow when busy.

We stopped at the Restaurante Joshe Mario Bakio on our way from Gaztelugatxe to Bilbao and enjoyed an exquisite meal from the menu of the day, including delicious homemade fish soup, bacalao a la plancha with roasted peppers and potatoes and cheesecake for dessert. The meal also included a full bottle of wine and coffee. Everything was delicious and a very elegant dining setting with great service. All this for 14 Euros per person. I would highly recommend Restaurante Joshe Mario Bakio to anyone passing through this town.
