Tete a the

Reviewed By Richard H

My wife and I called in for a light breakfast during our stay in Argentiere last week. We had coffees and pastries which were very good. Situated in a great location in the centre of the village opposite the church, it has a pleasant ambience, comfortable interior, an innovative and healthy food menu and we found the owner/staff member to be friendly and helpful. In a village where the number of eating establishments is fast declining this pleasant cafe is a welcome addition although it has been operating since 2014. Recommended.Thank you very much!

Les jus pressés à froid aux épinards et les wraps nous ont conquis :) La terrasse est accueillante et ensoleillée. Une bonne adresse !

Ondoa

In an area heavy with rich Savoyard food, the Ondoa offers a breath of fresh air. The menu is international specializing with more tasty Pacific-Rim type cuisine than the monotony of similar French food found in most of the local restaurants. Open day and evening the menu offers home-cooked Asian curries, Thai noodle dishes, Mexican burritos as well as other daily specials including delicious unusual salad combinations and wonderful dessert. The cook is obviously very talented an imaginative. Everything thing is served and presented beautifully on interesting North African style pottery. Likewise the decor is unusual, a quirkyl mix of industrial amusing pieces and vintage pieces. The server we had on both occasions is charming, energetic and willing to please. Only down-point is the size of the place: far too small particularly as the bar area spills over onto the dining area but I think the cafe/bistrot is still in the process of being completed so maybe a larger area for diners will appear in the near future.
