Menu on a Saturday for 20⬠or 25⬠including drinks. Original dishes, pasta with a pesto of beetroot, needed to be a bit bigger the portion and hotter, it was only just warm. Followed by a vegetable hamburger, which seemed to be more like a potato burger with bits of vegetables, I wasn't very impressed. The desserts were better and nicely presented, unfortunately if you don't want a dessert and ask for a hot beverage they were not willing to exchange 1 for the other. My friends were not impressed that they had to pay extra for a coffee and a tea.I would go back if ever I was in Lledia again, but I have a better idea of some of the dishes served.

This legendary establishment has seen thousands of customers along its history. Run by the same family after different generations, it had to change its site as the clientele was growing and the place was becoming tiny. Pop in at any time of the day and you'll surely meet someone eating their delicious hot chocolate together with their "xurros" (a complement that everybody devours). Go there any time but on Epiphany; the queue that waits patiently for purchasing their products can irritate the neofit. Good place for chocoholics to have breakfast and enjoy a gorgeous time

2 day Business trip in Lleida and having just arrived early evening needed something to eat. Restaurants didn't open until 9pm and I'm away to my bed by then! Came across La Portena as I wandered around looking for somewhere to get something to eat. The 2 ladies working there were so friendly and welcoming. I ordered a coffee and had an apple pie which was very delicious. I also had a small pizza which was also very nice. I was losing hope of finding somewhere to get some food and was so grateful to have found La Portena. Thank you for being so welcoming and friendly.
