Had an awesome experience at Taka. Service was great and the food was out of this world. DELICIOUS sushi with so many options and generous portions. Also, the meatloaf was spectacular (paired with a roll as an appetizer). Highly recommended.

We chose Bamboo Leaf on the strength of its Trip Advisor ratings. All three of us enjoyed our entrees -- the stir fry was especially fresh and delicious -- but the chicken satay and vegetable spring roll appetizers were very mediocre. Service was friendly but they seemed understaffed. We'd definitely go back, but maybe at an off peak time, and we'd skip the appetizers for sure.

I've eaten here in years past and the experience was always pretty average, so I haven't taken the time to write a review. Last night, with three other diners, we stopped by for dinner. I have to say that based on that most recent experience, they earned four stars. We all ordered sushi, which was fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion size. (They were also running a Mon-Thurs special of 4 rolls for the price of 3, which was a bonus.) The service was polite and attentive. I do think the restaurant could benefit from a brighter interior, but that's a minor point. There's also an outdoor dining area, though mosquitos can at times be a problem there. Prices are about average, and it's a byo. Street parking. Extra tip: Del Ponte's Bakery on same block--our favorite to pick up sweet dessert.
