5 stars spoiled by street noise
Reviewed By Anonymous987987Royal Garden villas offers all the luxury, service and amenities you would expext from a 5* hotel. Villa rooms are large (but a bit dated), private pool nice and warm, the underground parking is definately a major plus. Multiple reviews complain about construction and street noise, we took the risk... we had no issue with the construction works, which are temporary anyhow. But the street noise is a really there to stay. During the whole day there are cars, scooters, trucks passing by at a few meters of the terrass, although nicely shielded for privacy. It looks like a misfit to have such a nice hotel at such a noisy place. Unfortunately this will be the one and only reason for us not to return to this hotel.

Reviewed By 959cathypHaving spent lots of euros in the games room tonight....most if the machines didn't work...the guy who looks after the machines declined to give me any money back...the reception staff asked him about the machines but he declined to give a refund. Several other people were complaining about the broken machines that were still accepting the money. My advice Do not go to the games room !!! Avoid at all costs

Reviewed By JackosDeNayWe (Me & a Friend) visited on a Friday night in February for a one night stay … We booked via booking.com and was advertised as all inclusive …… definitely not all included …We paid for everything we had . (Very Deceptive website ) We arrived at around 3pm and by 5pm we were ready for something to eat …I went spoke to the lady and she said …. “We only serve food from 6pm and you can ONLY have steak” it wasn’t really what we wanted but as this was the only option we were told , I ordered 2 steaks …… The food was amazing …… but once we finished , we were left with a bill for €107.00 ….. ??? Eventually after a lot of conversations with the manager , we got a reduction …. The site was un-manned after 11pm ?! There was nowhere to get water or ask for assistance…. It’s basically like camping …. But fancy ….. !! Bottle of water was €3.50 ….. it’s trying very hard to be WAY to fancy …. Doesn’t need to be , as the location is great … and the gardens and surrounding were lovely !! Perfect if ALL you want to do , I lay by the pool in the day then go to bed at 9pm every night ?? We also only stayed one night , and had the maid banging on the door to clean our room @ 8:45am ….. even though checkout wasn’t til 11am? … Wouldn’t visit again ….

Excellent for a few nights
Reviewed By Ellen_and_PedroThe room is actually a small studio, good for a few nights but quite small and cramped for longer terms stays. The balcony was a bit disappointing, apparently there are rooms with big balconies and small ones, we had a small one. For the rest, our stay was excellent. The staff was very responsive and helpful when we had a problem with the light. Everything was cleaned to perfection. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

Pet-friendly Houses in an outstanding enviroment and enchanting views Typical Canary House ,divided in several houses totally exclusive and each with their own entrance.Terraces and panoramic views to the sea ( more than 40km of coast can be seen) and mountain,the furniture and interior decoration are in rustic style, giving a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Equipped kitchen, bathroom, a bedroom with double or separate beds, parking, WiFi, BBQ and Jacuzzi in the garden (not of exclusive use). Casa Ida is surrounded by gardens with fruit trees and endemic plants. Only four kilometers away you`ll find the seaside village of San Marcos with its pretty Bay and volcanic black sand beach. Nearby you`ll also find the historically important town of Garachico, for its traditions and natural swimming pools. Casa Ida is located at just 10 minutes of the best trekking routes and at ten minutes of the sea.

Reviewed By sebestyenhSpent 2 horrible nights in "villa nr2" before cancelling and changing. One of the best private views but the good part of the experience ends there. Horrible sloping road, stuffed parking place, ANTS, zero internet, rotten fluid in broken jacuzzi and MOLDY WALLS! Beware with allergies.

Un engaño no...una estafa
Reviewed By 982maneleLlegamos a la casa un poco tarde y dado que el checkin solo lo permiten hasta las 21h el propietario nos dijo que si le dejábamos una propina a uno de sus trabajadores por ejemplo 30€ nos esperarían para darnos las llaves. Llegamos sobre las 21:40 y nos dirigimos a la dirección indicada Plaza, 19 de Alcalá y allí no había nadie. Llame al propietario y me dice que nones allí que es enfrente Muralla, 04. Nos dirigimos allí y aquella casa no tenia nada que con la que contratamos. Estaba sucia, vieja y en un estado de semiabandono. Llame al propietaria para decírselo y me dijo que esa era la casa que había reservado. Al día siguiente vuelvo a llamar al propietario para presentar mis quejas y le pido la hoja de reclamaciones a lo que me contesta que no me la dará y que llame a la policia si quiero todo con muy malos modos. Efectivamente llame a la policía local que me recomendó que pusiera una denuncia en la guardia Civil por estafa y así lo hice. Esa misma noche buscamos un hotel y dejamos la casa. Para sorpresa mía al cabo de un rato el propietaria empieza a contactarme por mensajería de booking ya que la reserva la había hecho por bookin. Evidentemente ahi lo negaba todo y anuló mi reserva . También he interpuesto demanda en Consumo y estoy en yramites con bookin para soluciones esto. Evidentemente quiero que se me devuelva el dinero íntegramente.

Reviewed By AlisonJ1153Ideal location and so close to the beach restaurants and shops. Rooms were clean but very basic. Staff excellent and very helpful as we got un upgrade from inside room. There is noise from bars nearby but all went quiet at midnight. Rooms were cleaned every 2nd day as well as towels. Sheets every 3rd day. Sunbeds no longer on the terrace

Reviewed By Mark TVilla 4 - Casa Dona Elena was a large villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a terrace to the rear and a short walk from the pool. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The grounds are very well maintained with lovely views out to the sea. The Finca is ideally situated, a short drive from both Puerto de la Cruz and La Orotava, with easy access to the motorway.

Reviewed By truereviews2019The apartment we rented was owned by a company called Tenerife rent, or sumup, it was apartment 120a on island village complex. On arrival we walked through the front door into a dingy dated kitchen and we where hit with a putrid stench of sewer drains. We had arrived 2 days later than expected, we found our towels and spare bedding on the veranda dried to a crisp, along with a big old resident cat. The walls had hand prints and splatter everywhere, in every surface there was cig burns, not the odd one, dozens, even the microwave door had cig burns. The bed bases looked liked they had been acquired from a tip, We where never informed we would be sharing the apartment with a army of ants, ant poison had been used however the unlucky ants hadn’t been swept away by the cleaner just left to pile up, ants ran over every surface in the apartment where the tooth brushes sat, on the kitchen surfaces everywhere. We complained straight away and requested a refund of our £1000 deposit, we where told under no circumstances would she refund. She sent a cleaner to re clean and she did a great job, however within minutes of her leaving the ants returned in numbers. On the 3rd morning our resident cat hadn’t moved for 2 days and jokingly I said it might be dead and lone behold it was dead. We re contacted the owner and informed her, her response was, “it’s not my fault and she couldn’t do anything about it and was still not willing to refund” It was the last straw for us we left and found alternative accommodation. The apartment didn’t display a VV sign plus there’s no complaints book available. It’s been the worst holiday experience ever.
