Jumbo is the best Chinese and Japanese restaurant in Rockland County. Always fresh and made to order. The restaurant is casual and comfortable, and the delivery is incredibly fast. This used to be our go-to Chinese restaurant, but We stopped going to Overseas once my daughter got food poisoning. Not sure they are as busy as they once were. They need to start over. Brighten up the place and serve fresher food without so much corn starch in the sauces.

Nagoya

Reviewed By Zacass

A friend and I dined at Nagoya this evening. He had sushi and I had a very large bowl of vegetable udon soup. My friend said the sushi was basic but very fresh. My soup was supplied with a very large amount and variety of vegetables with plenty of broth. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I ended my meal with red bean ice cream, which is a pleasant way to end the meal. The service was very efficient but not necessarily warm or hospitable. It is not that the service was bad but rather, not very welcoming. However, since the restaurant wasn't very crowded, we weren't rushed out and could linger for about 15 minutes after paying the bill.

AJ’s Sushi & Cajun Seafood

My husband and I didn’t feel likeMaking dinner one night, we decided to try AJ’s. Walking into the restaurant we were greeted by a young kid who asked if we had reservations. We told him no, as I looked around there were multiple tables available. While we looked confused, he asked used to wait 10 minutes. That’s fine. So we waited and he finally came back over and sat us at one of the empty tables that we noticed. The waitress we had was amazing and saw that we were slightly confused on how the ordering works. You order everything with pre-made paper sheets. We chose to do the “all you can eat” sushi. The quality of the sushi was amazing. We started out with some of the appetizers and they were great. When they came out, some of them were only one or two pieces . For example, we ordered dumplings, 2 came out. It was perfect for us since we wanted to try a bunch of stuff out. The waitress we had recommended a roll called “Edison”. Great recommendation. My husband got one of the seafood pots (baby clams). It was soooooo goood. The only problem I had was that some of the clam shells were broken and sitting in the sauce. You’re not able to see it clearly. Be careful when chewing.Overall, I highly recommend this place. The quality is beyond and at a great price. Thank you!!!

If you want a Japanese experience, eat here. It is actually run by a Japanese Mom and Pop, and it completely reminded me of what it was like to eat in a real Japanese restaurant (not run by Chinese). The atmosphere was simple but pleasant. They even had a few customer's bottles on the wall (in Japan the Master keeps the bottles for his best customers). They started by serving an appetizer -- unrequested and at no cost. They do this kind of thing for their best customers -- we were new, but it may have been that my wife was Japanese. The katsudon I ordered was cooked perfectly. My wife had sushi, which she said was good quality. Please make an effort to find authentic Japanese restaurants -- very few are actually run by Japanese, and those that are deserve the business!

My BIL ordered take out using Grub Hub. Food arrived on time. The wonton soup dumplings were mushy. Fried dumplings were tasty. Fried rice could have had more taste. Very bland. Shrimp in lobster sauce lackluster. Shrimp were not firm and sauce was very watery. On 6 shrimp in order. No fresh duck sauce provided. There are other Chinese rest in Suffern and Mahwah that are doing a better job.

We were totally delighted to find this place on our travels. The edamame was perfectly cooked. Some of us like to add brown rice to the miso soup. It was delicious. The steamed vegetable gyoza was comparable to my grand mother’s krepkach. Yum! The Age Tofu was truly lovely. The bang band shrimp was spicy to perfectionAnd the rolls: salmon skin, hamachino, Alaska - Wow. We splurged and shared a drunk monkey and wished for more chocolate sauce. And we’re grateful for Polly, our gracious server. What a find!

Wow. I mean wow. I've been going to Tuxedo and Mahwah for sushi but no more. Sushiville in Sloatsburg is my new favorite japanese restaurant. We went yesterday and had a mix of both fresh sushi and sashimi and cooked entrees. My daughter had the Chicken Katsu for the hundredth time but this was by far the best katsu she's ever had. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned and crispy. But the star is really the sushi. We split a crunchy tuna and a jalapeno bomb roll and they were so incredibly tasty and well prepared. The flavors in the jalapeno were terrific. Think of a jalapeno popper appetizer in a sushi roll. Awesome. I always order a spicy tuna but this spicy tuna crunch is my new favorite. Everything was really great from the miso soup and edamame Attentive service and a clean nice ambiance rounded out the experience. It's nestled in a tiny strip mall between the nail salon and dunkin donuts so I think the location itself is the only drawback.
