Reviewed By Ruwangi TI had a wonderful experience at Amora Garden. Went with my friends for a day outing on 21st May 22. And they were very kind-hearted and they were pleased to give us a complimentary room even though they practice to accommodate 15 numbers and above. They let us check in as soon as we arrived. We didn't have to wait. That was awesome. The girls who checked in us were really nice. And the room was lovely, super clean with the most comfortable 2 beds. And the buffet was very delicious even the desserts. We really enjoyed ourselves there and Special thanks to Rukshan,Isuru and Chamindu They were really helpful. Thank you! I will recommend it to my other friends. Hope to visit again.

Excellent Hotel, Excellent People
Reviewed By AnkurS338The only hotel in SriLanka where we were greeted with a welcome drink. Lovely couple who run it, the location is excellent, on the main strip with restaurants. The rooms are modern and have everything you need. For the price it is exceptional value for money. I was overcharged at the Wine Shop but the owner works there and when I told him about the incident he gave me the extra money back. I did not want to take it but he would not budge. Amazing guy. If in Negombo, I will definitely stay here again. Airport is I think around 15-20 mins and he can arrange a tukk tuk for 800 rupees.

The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay awesome and relaxing. They were very accommodating and friendly.. The airport transfer fee is very affordable. I would definitely give this place more than 5 stars and I can surely say this is the best place to stay in Negombo.

A small and quiet place although it’s on the main road, we slept in utmost comfort. The management and staff was fantastic, many thanks for the wonderful stay, much appreciated!

Sehr sauber, richtig gute Dusche mit Handbrause, A/C und Veranda mit Blick über den Bentota River. Nachts sah ich den beleuchteten Tempel an der gegenüber liegenden Flussseite vom Bett aus. Ich genoss die Stille und doch war man hinten aus dem Haus raus direkt bei den Läden, Restaurants und Tuk Tuks, mitten drin im Geschehen. Das Frühstück war toll, stets viele frische Früchte, einmal Omelette. Ich sass ungestört draussen, guckte auf den Fluss, den blühenden Hibiskusstrauch und hörte die Vögel, während ich ass. Viraj organisierte ein Tuk Tuk für mich und die Fahrt zum Flughafen. Ich wurde verwöhnt und genoss meinen Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Hotels, in denen ich vorher logiert hatte, funktionierte hier das Internet einwandfrei und ich fühlte mich gut aufgehoben. Gerne wieder einmal. Vielen Dank Viraj und Team

It was my first hotel in SL and at first I was a bit hesitant upon arrival - it is located down a gravel road in a residential area and yes, there was a lot of lime deposit in the showers etc. However, after having stayed in several other hotels around SL I can now say that this is perfectly normal - and you are not paying for a 5* experience anyway! The staff is super lovely once you make an effort to talk to them, every request will be fulfilled (scooter hire, transfers, dinner, day trips, adapters, restaurant recommendations etc). It is only a short walk from the busy beach road and the neighbours all smile and say hello when you are walking around. There is also plenty of other small accommodation choices around here, so you won't be the only tourist ? The pool is lovely and refreshing, the rooms are large with comfortable beds and everything you might need. They provide you with water and the typical SL hotel breakfast (small but sufficient, and freshly prepared). It is just a lovely, small, personal hotel at a fantastic nightly rate and as long as you don't expect a resort experience, this is the perfect choice!

Made to feel like family
Reviewed By DaveandPaulaWe chose this hotel as it was within easy reach of Colombo airport (about 25 minutes). We arranged with the hotel for a car to pick us up and our driver was extremely helpful. We actually booked the day before as well so we could go straight to our room. When we arrived (6.30am and very tired!), we were quickly shown to our room and made very welcome. During our 3 weeks stay we got to know the staff very well and they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The pool, at times, was a little cloudy, but they made every effort to keep it clean. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Attached to our room was a kitchen area with a fridge and sink. A kettle was provided. The local town area is a short walk up a little road. Be aware though when it rains the road does flood (not the hotel's fault!). Lots of really good restaurants. A short tuk tul ride to Negombo Town centre and the local market is well worth it. Market day on Sunday. But I think the main thing was how amazing the owners and staff were. They couldn't do enough for us, always had a smile and always had time to talk to us. All in all this little hotel was a perfect way to chill out after a long flight. Thank you all, I promise we will be back. PS if you get a chance, talk to Pri (the owner) about nutrition, he is extremely knowledgeable and has written books on the subject.
