We were a little surprised at the venue after Reading the reviews, it’s above a shop and essentially is the owners home.
Only about 8 - 10 tables, single toilet accessed alongside kitchen.
That being said, nothing wrong with the food, owner was very chatty, it was quick and satisfied our hunger.
Very informal and not much of a view.

We had our very first Sri Lankan dinner at Lords when arrived.
It seemed that it was THE trendy place to go in Negombo.
The back of the restaurant is much nicer than the area near the street so I regretted we were not offered a table there.The service is very good though.
The cocktails were average and the food was nice. I had prawns served in a coconut sauce and a sort of beetroot chutney which was lovely. The curry itself was nothing special but it was a smooth approach to the local food.
We had so much better for much cheaper during as we traveled around the island. Especially in the guesthouses.

Stayed at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel for 4 nights and spent a lot of time at the Breeze Bar - it is a great poolside bar with tasty drinks and great service! Special mention to Mr Chanaka for his professionalism and friendliness - always very prompt with delivering drinks!
Great relaxing atmosphere - highly recommended!

We went in to a lot of trouble locating Hilda’s - as it was highly recommended by other reviewers on TripAdvisor. Their phone did not work so locating the place was even more difficult. Indeed it’s a fantastically located beach shack. However their food was ordinary, and overpriced!

Firstly this restaurant is no longer on the beach but is well signposted from the old location on the right not far from the Avani hotel. Apparently, the original restaurant was burnt down, which is a real shame as the beach/sunset location would really of made the overall experience idealistic. The restaurant environment is lit with bright lights and lacks an intimate feel, however, that said- the food is very good! We had a chicken curry and there was bowl upon bowl of accompaniments. The owner phillipe entertained us with his card tricks and was keen to show us photos of his previous restaurant.

The whole outdoor eating experience is complemented by fans and cool air. The tables are very private for large and small parties. The service is excellent and our waiter Chaminda was both helpful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the whole evening was memorable.

I absolutely love their wood fired pizzas. The taste is amazing as they use the best ingredients. I love the fact their pizzas are full of fresh basil and if you ask for extra they give some in a little bag so you can add more if necessary..My personal favourites are all meat, 4 cheese and the chicken pizza.

Ok, all the beach restaurants seems to take their time with getting orders and food on the table, but this one was exceptional. We waited 20 mins before we could catch a waiter, then another half an hour before we got drinks and food, and not very well made food either. I'd choose any of the other restaurants on the beach.

Brilliant Customer service. Exquisite Menu. I had a mutton curry spiced Sri Lankan Style, and a brilliant mango ice cream dessert. However, the highlight of the resto is the 70 year old owner himself; Mr Joseph. Despite his age, he values each and every client, and we could see German tourists meeting him as if they had already been previous diners.

If you are having any doubts about stopping in for Sushi in Colombo - doubt should be resolved in favor of walking in for lunch /dinner. Drinks were excellent - enough liquor to make it meaningful - service team was attentive and effective. The tuna was a excellent grade and rivals east coast USA and the rice flavor and consistency was also on par. The tempura was also tasty and cooked crispy and not over battered. We enjoyed the food and service and recommend it!
