Went in to try the cider and saw the restaurant. The seafood dish for two was superb, a range of tasty shellfish, crab and lobster baked steamed and boiled. It was messy but well worth it. A lucky find really but one others should explore.

We struggled to find a restaurant open whilst in Navia on a Sunday evening. This would not have been our first choice as it is more cafe style. However we were pleasantly surprised as the food and wine was excellent. We had the famous Cachopo and this was the best we had on our two week travels. The escalope of veal was also very good and our one risotto of cod and prawns was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and efficient and as she knew we were waiting to eat served us immediately the kitchen opened at 8 o'clock. We didn't have any starters or deserts and the bill for four including two bottles of wine, a beer and a small water was approximately 76⬠which we considered reasonable.

Go up the stairs for a delicious dinner and excellent breakfast coffee with leche clientele. Best meal in Chichi. Try the pork platter, which comes with more sides that you can eat. It was en route to the market, so we had two pots of coffee and a breakfast Americani and were ready for the day.

We traveled across Spain and by casualty ended up at this amazing place! Right in front of la marina, is not too fancy but it's sailing boat decorations, kindness and service, excellent food and price definitely made the stop worthy! The size of the food ordered was great, the savor and variety and mostly, the owner! If you are around Luarca, stop by and ask for Manuel Perez and you will have a great experience.

Reasonable prices and range of dishes. One waiter spoke excellent English and was very helpful with explaining the menu. Simple grilled Hake with boiled potatoes very good. The Hake in cider was good but more of a challenge served on the bone with various pieces of seafood! Dog was able to sit in covered exterior veranda. Good car parking at the port and 5 minutes walk to restaurants. Parking outside very limited.

Perched high Ortiguera port, a 5 min. Navia and 10 min. Tapia de Casariego, offers the best fish in the harbor. Kitchen lovingly pampered by our team. Beautiful views with quality service and discretion.
We both ordered the tasting menu which was by far the best meal we have had on our trip. I cannot say enough about the quality of this locally sourced food matched by faultless service. The wine paring was equally delicious. I believe finding this quality of cooking at such a reasonable price is truly an experience not to be missed.

Looking at this bar/restaurant from outside, it wasn't quite what we were looking for, but it was raining , and we were hungry.Brilliant service, great food and very reasonably priced. The gambon a la plancha were super. We intend to return very soon.

We had the hake in cider which was fresh and beautifully cooked, the octopus sarten and the goat cheese salad. Everyone enjoyed the meal and this restaurant is recommended but we felt it was a bit let down by the surly waitress when we arrived- it's unusual to have unfriendly service in Asturias.

While staying overnight in Navia, we were lucky to find a restaurant that was open due to a holiday. Lucky indeed as it turned out, because Sidreria El Cantabrico was an absolute winner. Waiting in the bar for the restaurant to open, required a few pre-dinner drinks, and the barman with a great sense of theatre, performed the trick of holding a cider bottle as far away as possible from the glass before pouring in the cider. Asturian cider is a little like Somerset Scrumpy and you don't need a lot to feel quite mellow, but we enjoyed perhaps a little more than we should have, just to see the pouring custom one more time. The meal that followed was equally impressive, with an intensely flavoured shellfish soup, chock full of crustacea, followed by perfectly steamed mussels and fried baby squid. The service was so friendly and efficient, with not a word of English, but we had no trouble in making our requests understood in rather bad Spanish. A great evening all round for less than 18 euros per person (there were 4 of us) including a bottle of wine and the ciders.

We enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service of this small restaurant located in a beautiful coastal village. I definitely recommend the octopus carpaccio, the scallops ("zamburiñas") and the monkfish. Desserts are also good: don't miss the chocolate cake with tangerine ice cream. Great wines at an affordable price.Prices were reasonable: about 200⬠for a meal for 6, with 3 appetisers to share , 6 main courses, 3 desserts, two bottles of wine, water and coffee.I look forward to return.
