When you marry into a Colombian family, you are not only blessed with a true sense of "la familia" but also a veritable treasure of new culinary delights. We are, "regulars" at El Bacon, and have no need for the menu, every dish is indelibly printed in our minds. The food, atmosphere, and of course... the Colombian news on their televisions, makes you feel as if you were eating in Bogota! I have NEVER had a substandard meal in this establishment, they are consistent and never disappoint. Every, El Bacon location we have had the pleasure of visiting was outstanding. We even watched the, "World Cup," soccer at the Margate store...what an amazing time! Do yourself a favor, whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner...you can't go wrong at El Bacon.

We been to Latin Cafe about 5 times. The first thing, if you ask for cafe con leche they will give you a little plastic stirrer. Really? like it was to go. You just don't serve cafe con leche at a table with a stirrer. Needed to ask for a real spoon each time. They don't know how to make a ham & cheese omelette, you don't slap two slices of cheese on top and call it. Am hopping it will improve and its the little things that make it good. (Management says it has resolved the spoon with cafe con leche issue), will see on the next visit. .

I’m going to run out of superlatives in describing this wonderful little Cuban family-owned and run restaurant, off the beaten track. Sometimes, the best places are worth the travel and this is certainly one of them. The reviews on social media were so good, we were intrigued. The frita burger is exceptional: excellent beef, chipotle aioli, chorizo jam, Swiss cheese and crispy onions on a fresh Cuban roll. The pork is marinated for 24 hours and then slow-roasted for 8 hours and it is flavorful perfection. Served with black beans, rice, two different kinds of plantains and garlic aioli. All the sauces, jams and aiolis are homemade. Even the chorizo sausage is homemade. The Caribbean slaw was so good we ordered another. Dressed in a light, creamy mango and citrus sauce, it blew doors off any we had had before anywhere else. No wonder Guy Fieri is coming here soon. The service was superb and the atmosphere so inviting. So happy to have found this little food paradise.

La Granja Parrilla

Before you will think to go to a fast food restaurant with burguers, think about this very good option; at La Granja Parrilla you will find real food at fast food prices, maybe this is their winning secret. This peruvian restaurant has adapted the original dishes to the Floridian-caribbean, market, the original Pollo a la Braza is served with french fries and salad, it has been adapted to this market with white rice and black beans, that also is not bad, is very acceptable even is not the original recipy. The restaurant offers free spicy sauces and onions sauces. Is not the best, but this place offers good fresh food at very low price. They offer the most popular peruvian food as lomos saltados, seafood and more.

We have been to this restaurant several times for lunch. The food is great and they have daily specials until 3 PM. They're posted on their website and at the restaurant, but conveniently, they do NOT offer you the specials menu or mention the specials unless you ask. I have seen it and experienced it several times when they say that the special is "not available" or that they're "sold out." It's a leader product and they change it weekly so it's something they put time and effort planning, you would think. I have seen people walk out because "they're out of the special of the day" when they are really not. If you order the same meal and you're willing to pay the regular price, all of the sudden it's available. Very misleading and conniving practice in my opinion. If you promote a special, you should commit to it until lunch is over. Today, we went in for 3 specials and conveniently to them, they were out of it at 1 PM when the special runs until 3 PM. We walked out. They won't be in business for long if they continue to lie. People notice and like to deal with honest businesses. This is not one of them. Sad but true.

This is a small Mexican restaurant that provides very good food, good service and a friendly atmosphere. We've been there twice in the last few weeks and had a positive experience both times. The place seats about 50 people in total, including 2 outdoor tables. The decor is fairly basic but the food is very good and the staff is good and friendly to the customers. Most recently, we had Molcajete - grilled chicken, grilled pork, cactus slices and other vegetables, all topped with cheese and served in a bowl that looks like it was carved from a volcano. Delicious !!The Pollo Rellano is also very good - chicken breast stuffed with ham, bacon and cheese and served with chipotle sauce. The prices are moderate and, given the volume of food served, a real bargain. We'll be back.

La Bamba Mexican and Spanish Restaurant

Serving you since 1988, La Bamba is a family owned and operated Mexican and Spanish Restaurant. With five locations.Offering Lunch Specials, Happy Hour Specials and the best Margaritas in town.

La Bamba II Mexican and Spanish Restaurant serves good Mexican food with lunch specials under $10.00. The restaurant is located in strip mall, and has classic Mexican restaurant décor with high tables, regular tables, booths and a bar. One of us and family members had a late lunch here on a Monday around 1:30 PM. We were seated and provided drinks quickly. Our server was friendly and helpful. One of our family members is a local and has been coming here for many years. The chips and salsa were very good. They furnish two kinds of salsa and the hot salsa has a bit of a kick (always appreciated). Among the lunch specials we ordered were a Beef Taco with Rice and Beans, and a Cheese Quesadilla (photos are attached). The portions were very large and the meals were both tasty. Coming from the Southwest, we are spoiled when it comes to imaginative Mexican cooking hence our 4 out of 5 rating for this establishment – very good but not excellent. The restaurant was quiet after the main lunch hour so we had no problems conversing. We also had nice seats by a large window and appreciated the sunlight. Bottom line, if you are looking for a good affordable Mexican meal in Margate, La Bamba is worth a try.
